About this experience
This kayak tour sets off to see a few of the many precious gems of Door County. You will experience thousand year old caves, ancient fossils, and Whitefish Dunes State Park. After an introductory lesson and a calm launch from a location north of Cave Point, you'll follow the coast until seeing the coves of Cave Point County Park where you'll creep along listening to the wonderful sound of the water and enjoying the view of the caves. Then explore the caves with the kayaks, and finally head towards Whitefish Bay Dunes State Park. At this point, you will turn around and return to the launch location or head to the take-out point at the Whitefish Bay Town boat launch (dependent upon the wind). The caves are not viewable from the land. Our kayak launch location and close meeting location make our company the #1 reasons to use us for your Cave Point Kayak Tour. Wonderful kayak tour!
River was our guide. He is super friendly! Loved the knowledge he shared of zebra mussels and trees during our trip. The kayaking was fantastic!

WOW great
Logan was a superstar. He was friendly, courteous, efficient, and customer oriented. The bikes were great, the maps provided were accurate, and the scenery very nice. Thanks Logan!

The description was...
The description was nothing like online. This experience was for a more experienced Kayak. Water was choppy. Views were beautiful.
Response from the operator: From time to time, the water can get choppy. But we do our best to choose days to kayak there that are calm. Saying that, wind and waves can change quickly. Make sure to book as early in your vacation as possible as well as the mornings are notoriously more calm than the afternoons.

Canceled
It got cancelled due to weather unfortunately I wish we had more time to reschedule hope to try it again in the future
Response from the operator: Are you giving us a 1 star review for keeping you safe from bad weather on the water? Just wanted to clarify what we did to deserve a 1 star? Just a reminder to future bookers looking at this 1 star review, to book as early in your vacation and as early in your day as possible to give a little buffer to allow us to give you an amazing enjoyable and safe experience on the water. Early morning tours 8am-10am are by far the calmest and most enjoyable.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cave Point Kayak Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Green Bay & Door County.
How much does Cave Point Kayak Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Green Bay & Door County usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cave Point Kayak Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Green Bay & Door County is not rushed.
Is Cave Point Kayak Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 93 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Green Bay & Door County, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cave Point Kayak Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cave Point Kayak Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cave Point Kayak Tour?
+
Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Green Bay & Door County can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Green Bay & Door County and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cave Point Kayak Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Green Bay & Door County within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Green Bay & Door County?
+
Green Bay and Door County pair Lambeau Field stadium tours with peninsula lighthouse drives, boat cruises, kayak paddles to the sea caves and orchard and winery stops. On Outty we rank every Green Bay & Door County experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cave Point Kayak Tour, Door County Day Trips: Sightseeing Top to Bottom, Hearthstone Historic House Museum Admission Ticket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Green Bay & Door County?
+
June to October, with fall colour peaking mid-October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Green Bay & Door County?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
