About this experience
This kayak tour is our most relaxing and family-friendly tour. This beginner kayaker’s paradise is our protected, safe, and warm location to learn to kayak while watching for Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, Swans, Egrets, and more. The wetlands and lake provide habitat for the federally-endangered Hine's emerald dragonfly among many other wildlife and plant species. The open zone grades into second-growth wet-mesic forest of white cedar, white spruce, balsam fir and black ash. This is an example of boreal forest habitat which a rare community type to be found in Wisconsin. In the Spring, wildflowers are outstanding on this location, with Hepaticas, Spring Beauties, Trilliums and Trout Lilies putting on a show from mid-April to the end of May. Great Tour-Frustrating booking and confirmation process
Sky our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. She gave us good directions and told us a history of Door County. She was very good at navigating through the wetlands and was delightful. The experience of setting up this tour was not good. I had booked the tour through Viator. After completing registration, I still did not have a confirmation email with my vouchers a day later. I went on a chat at 11:15 at night and they had no record of my booked trip even though the money was taken from my credit card. The customer service rep kept searching and found them after a 10 minute search. The night before the actual tour, I received a text that instead of the wetland tour could we do the cave tour. They did not give me a clear explanation why this would change the night before. After several text the person texting said they would check things out and confirm back in 30 minutes. I never received a text back and had to text to confirm in the morning. All over frustrating, time consuming experience to book. The tour was great, but they need to do a better job with booking and confirmation process.
Response from the operator: Booking through viator can at times cause some confusion, they don't give us your phone number or email address. I recommend you book direct with us : Door County Kayak Tours for the most options, clear communication and the best prices.

Wonderful relaxing paddle
This is the second time I’ve taken this paddle and the first time I’ve invited friends- inexperienced kayakers. This is a fun, easy-going, paddle that shows a “different side” of Door County waterways. Our guide, Jackson, was relaxed, personal, & professional which made it that much more fun! He was even willing to take our picture and he saved the day with bug spray!

Enjoyable tour into the wetlands of Door County
Ready to feel like you are in a painting or a nature show? This tour is worthwhile. Steadily but slowly paddling, you can quietly see the nature of the interior of Door County. A change of pace to the vibes along the coasts for sure! Anders, the tour guide, was helpful and nice!

Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Green Bay & Door County.
How much does Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Green Bay & Door County usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Green Bay & Door County is not rushed.
Is Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Green Bay & Door County, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Green Bay & Door County can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Green Bay & Door County and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Door County Wetlands Kayak Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Green Bay & Door County within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Green Bay & Door County?
+
Green Bay and Door County pair Lambeau Field stadium tours with peninsula lighthouse drives, boat cruises, kayak paddles to the sea caves and orchard and winery stops. On Outty we rank every Green Bay & Door County experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cave Point Kayak Tour, Door County Day Trips: Sightseeing Top to Bottom, Hearthstone Historic House Museum Admission Ticket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Green Bay & Door County?
+
June to October, with fall colour peaking mid-October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Green Bay & Door County?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
