Worth Every Day We Spent On Safari
We spent five days exploring Tarangire, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro with Discover Wild Expeditions, and the experience exceeded what we had imagined. One thing we particularly liked was having two nights in the Serengeti. It meant we could enjoy the park without feeling that we had to leave just as we were getting comfortable with the surroundings. The scenery was spectacular, and the early morning drives were worth getting up for. Tarangire and Ngorongoro added two very different experiences to the trip. Our guide, James, was professional, good company, and excellent at explaining animal behaviour. Looking back, we are glad we chose five days rather than trying to squeeze everything into a shorter safari. We had time to appreciate the parks, enjoy the journey, and take home some wonderful memories. We would recommend Discover Wild Expeditions to anyone planning a northern Tanzania safari.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with Discover Wild Expeditions. We’re delighted to hear that your five-day safari was everything you had hoped for. Spending two nights in the Serengeti gives you more time to enjoy the plains, follow wildlife sightings and appreciate the park without feeling rushed. We’re especially pleased that James made your journey enjoyable with his knowledge and friendly approach. We’ll be happy to share your kind words with him. Thank you for choosing us for your Tanzania adventure. It was a pleasure to be part of your safari memories, and we hope to welcome you back to Tanzania for another wildlife experience someday.

We enjoyed learning about the seasonal movements of the herds and spending time observing wildlife in its natural environment. Ending the trip at Ngorongoro gave us a beautiful change of scenery. Our guide John helped us understand what made this ecosystem so special

Five Days Was the Right Choice for the Great Migration
We were really happy we chose five days for our Great Migration safari. It gave us time to enjoy the Serengeti without feeling rushed, and seeing so many wildebeest moving across the plains was incredible. Our guide, Mike, was great at spotting wildlife and explaining what was happening around us. We also enjoyed the quieter moments, especially the beautiful sunsets and the sounds of nature in the evening. Ngorongoro Crater was a fantastic way to finish the trip. Five days went by so quickly, and we would have happily stayed longer!
