A spectacular experience in Tanzania with Taswira!

Our experience with Taswira and Tanzania was excellent in every way. Our two guides, George and Rajabu, were wonderful. They were incredibly knowledgeable, flexible, helpful, and friendly. They learned what we were most interested in and comfortable with, and went way out of their way to accommodate each and all of us. They were particularly helpful with my disabled mother-in-law, who was waited on at every turn, and as a result had a very positive experience. Despite some rough roads, every part of every day was amazing. The wildlife and geology exceeded all of our expectations, as did the service of both our guides and the staffs at the camps and hotels at which we stayed. Our itinerary was also great, as it included not only spectacular wildlife and landscapes, but also lots of experiences with the people and cultural attractions in and around Arusha. We especially appreciated our trip to the Umoja Center school which was a wonderful introduction to the people and the country. We really felt fortunate, special, and well cared for every day. The food was also consistently amazing. I highly recommend both Tanzania and Taswira.

    Best trip ever

This was the best trip I have ever taken. My mom planned the trip with our family for my graduation and I was incredibly excited about it before we left, it has been a long standing childhood dream to visit Africa and see the wildlife there. Taswira went above and beyond anything I could have expected. I learned so much about the wildlife and the culture of Tanzania. For example, on the first day there we went to visit a school for local kids who came from challenging situations but regardless of their situation they were so excited to meet us, learn about our culture, and teach us about their culture. Our guides took so much pride in introducing us to their community and country. Beyond that I felt so welcomed not only by our guides but the people of Tanzania. The hospitality was the best I have ever experienced. The guides were amazing and I made memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. We saw so many animals and beautiful landscapes and I loved soaking in every second of it. I could not praise the guides or the company enough for this experience. They even helped inspire me to learn Swahili! I hope very much to return to Tanzania and see these wonderful people again. Asante sana George and Rajabu! You are the best!

    Pure Magic!

Our safari with Taswira Africa Safaris was truly unforgettable from start to finish. Every detail felt thoughtful, personal, and beautifully organized, allowing us to relax fully and take in the wonder of Tanzania. George and Rajabo were exceptional guides—knowledgeable, patient, kind, and deeply committed to helping us experience each park in a meaningful way. Their ability to spot wildlife, explain animal behavior, and share the culture and landscape around us turned every drive into something special. The four parks we visited each had their own magic. Arusha offered a gentle and beautiful introduction to Tanzania’s landscapes, Tarangire amazed us with its elephants, baobab trees, and wide-open beauty, the Serengeti felt endless and cinematic in the best possible way, and Ngorongoro was simply breathtaking—a place that feels almost impossible to describe until you are standing there yourself. Our visit to the Umoja Centre added another meaningful layer to the trip. It was inspiring to learn about the work being done to support young people in Arusha through education, life skills, well-being, and opportunity. Meeting the team and seeing the spirit of the center reminded us that this journey was not only about incredible wildlife and landscapes, but also about connection, community, and the positive impact travel can have. We also loved the accommodations throughout the journey. The Maasai lodge was a memorable cultural experience and a beautiful way to begin connecting with the people and traditions of the region. Each camp had its own charm, and the food everywhere was excellent—fresh, generous, and far beyond what we expected on safari. Ngorongoro Farm House was another highlight, with its peaceful setting, welcoming atmosphere, and wonderful meals that made it feel like a true retreat. What made the trip stand out most was the feeling that we were in caring, capable hands every step of the way. George and Rajabo brought warmth, professionalism, humor, and heart to the experience, and Taswira Africa Safaris delivered a safari we will never forget. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone dreaming of a thoughtful, well-run, and magical Tanzanian safari.

Exceptional safari experience for our multi-generational family (including 1 person with disability)

Taswira is an exceptional company and operator. I cannot recommend them highly enough. We just returned from a tour with our multi-generational family of 7 - ranging in age from 19-85 including my disabled mom. It was the experience of a lifetime! The entire team at Taswira is kind, professional, energetic, safe and exceptionally caring and knowledgeable. We had two primary guides for our trip - George and Rajabu. Their collegial and complementary styles were perfect for our family - and each of us enjoyed getting to know and spend time with both of them. They put so much care into meeting each individual's needs and wishes - including going above and beyond for my disabled mom, treating her like family and affectionately calling her Bibi (which is Swahili for grandmother). The properties they selected were also exceptional - with top notch accommodations and service with outstanding hospitality. The food was excellent and our family's various dietary preferences and needs were easily met. As an eco-conscious traveler, I am also deeply appreciative that Taswira is committed to environmental stewardship and support for its local communities. While there are many safari operators, Caroline's attention to planning paired with George and Rajabu's passion, caring and enthusiasm ensured that each of us had the trip of a lifetime. Furthermore, as a locally owned company, the dollars we spent directly support the local community and the wonderful people who live there. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Thanks Taswira!

5-Day Group Tour Mid Range: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range cost?

    +

Prices start at $2300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 27 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5-Day Group Tour Mid Range start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

    +

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
