Dusty roads, charging ports and vast Serengeti views

If you book this 5 day camping trip with Suricata Safaris, bring a dust mask or scarf for the road sections! The vehicle was well kept with working charging sockets for our camera gear, which was very helpful. Jeremy positioned the pop-up roof vehicle perfectly whenever we came across elephants or zebra groups near the waterholes. Camping life was basic but fun, and the group dynamic was really great.

Excellent experience on the 5-days-Safari with Suricata

We joined a 5-days group Safari with Suricata this year. Our contact was Jesca, she organized everyhing perfectly, even wishes for additional overnight stays at the beginning and end and additional day trips. Our guide Pascal teached us many things about the national parcs and the animals in Tanzania. We were glad to see the big five, thanks to his great experience. Catering was wonderful and we were glad to have chosen Suricata again.

Response from the operator: It was a pleasure having you on safari with us! We’re glad you enjoyed the trip and the unique experiences Tanzania has to offer. Thank you for trusting us with your adventure.

Perfect week with the best Tour Guide Pascal

The safari was amazing. We had amazing animal encounters and were lucky to complete the big five! Pascal has been an amazing tour guide, who made sure we were having the best time. He knows a lot about all the animals, the history of the national parks and the people and tribes living there. He was very patient with answering all of our questions :) he was making sure that we leave with a lot of great new memories and information about Tansania and the nature. We can completely recommend the experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you for traveling with us and for your thoughtful review. We’re glad you enjoyed the safari overall and we take your feedback seriously as part of our commitment to high standards.

5 Days Group Camping Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 5 Days Group Camping Safari cost?

+

Prices start at $1000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Days Group Camping Safari take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 5 Days Group Camping Safari worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 856 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Group Camping Safari?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 5 Days Group Camping Safari suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5 Days Group Camping Safari?

+

Around 300 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Days Group Camping Safari start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
