Value for money 5/5

Our guide, Israel, was outstanding. He explained very well the different sights, plus some POVs (from a local's perspective). He was accommodating and waited for us to finish shopping, which I think went overtime. Also, this tour is priced very low. Value for money 5/5!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review! We truly appreciate you sharing your experience, and it means a lot to our entire team. We are especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour with Israel and found his explanations helpful. We always believe that exploring Arusha is more meaningful when travelers can learn not only about the main sights, but also about the city from a local perspective and understand the everyday life, culture, and history behind the places they visit. We’re also glad that Israel was able to accommodate your shopping time and make sure you never felt rushed. We understand that sometimes discovering a new city also means finding a few special things to take home! Thank you as well for highlighting the value for money of the experience and for giving us 5/5. Your recommendation and support mean a great deal to us. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Arusha and Tanzania again in the future! Asante sana, and thank you once again for choosing Tanzania Songbirds Safaris! 🇹🇿 Warm regards, The Tanzania Songbirds Safaris Team

Great tour and even better guides

Just back today from my trip and could not recommend this higher. Gives you a great insight into Arusha, it's history and the main sites to see. My guide was Daudi and as a solo female traveller he made me feel very at ease. The cultural centre, markets and massai craft markets were excellent.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a wonderful review! We truly appreciate your kind words and are especially happy to hear that you enjoyed your Arusha experience with Daudi and felt comfortable throughout the tour. We’re also glad you enjoyed the Cultural Centre, markets, and Maasai crafts. Thank you for recommending us, and we hope to welcome you back to Tanzania again soon! Asante sana! 🇹🇿 Warm regards, The Tanzania Songbirds Safaris Team

A great city tour

This was a great tour! Baraka is a great guide, and he told me a lot about the history of Tanzania. I especially enjoyed the market and the National History Museum. Also, the African Arts Gallery was quite impressive. In case you ate short on time, I would even suggest to cut the Maasai Market and spend more time in the gallery

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your review! We truly appreciate your kind words and are especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour with Baraka and his knowledge of Tanzania’s history. We’re glad you enjoyed the market, National History Museum, and especially the African Arts Gallery. Thank you as well for sharing your helpful suggestion about spending more time at the gallery. We really value feedback like this as it helps us continue improving our tours. Asante sana, and we hope to welcome you back to Tanzania again! 🇹🇿 Warm regards, The Tanzania Songbirds Safaris Team

How much does Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market cost?

How long does Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market take?

+

Is Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 90 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 335 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. +

Around 117 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
