Great five days Safari in Tanzania

We just came back from an amazing 5-day safari in Tanzania, and it was the best trip ever. On our first day, we went to Tarangire National Park. It was so beautiful, with really big trees and lots of elephants right next to our jeep. For the second and third days, we visited the Serengeti. Having two full days there was great. The wide open spaces were beautiful, and we saw so many animals, including lions and leopards. On day four, we went to the Ngorongoro Crater. It felt like a completely different world, and there were so many animals living close together down there. Finally, on the fifth day, we finished our trip at Lake Manyara. It is a very green park with a big lake, lots of monkeys, and beautiful birds. It was a nice change from the other parks. The animals were great, but our guide, Allan, made the trip really special. He was fantastic! Allan knew so much and explained everything about the animals and nature to us in a simple way. He was always ready to help with anything we needed. The best part was that he was so friendly. During the long drives in the car or when we were just waiting, we could talk and joke with him easily. It felt like traveling with a good friend. If you want to go on a safari in Tanzania, this plan is perfect, and you should definitely ask for Allan to be your guide!

We enjoyed the wildlife and natural beauty of Tanzania.

Our family's trip to Tanzania was very peaceful. We connected with Said Hasan at Jema Safaris and Tours and after discussing the safari with him, we finalized the decision for 5 days. We 5 days exploring Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Mayrana and the Ngorongoro Crater, and every day felt like a new adventure. Our guide ( Eddy and Kareem ) were very helpful and much explained about wildlife and culture. Tarangire was full of elephants and those amazing baobab trees that looked straight out of a movie. In the Serengeti, The most incredible moment was watching hundreds of zebras crossing the Mara River, absolutely breathtaking. We also explored the peaceful lake mayrana. And lastly explored Ngorongoro Crater we felt completely another hidden world. Jema Safaris team made this journey one of the best experiences of our lives.

We felt a real connection with both nature and wildlife.

If there’s one trip that will stay with me forever, it’s the 5 days I spent on a camping safari across Tanzania with my cousins. From the moment we set off from Arusha, there was this mix of excitement and curiosity- we know that feeling when we don’t really know what’s ahead, but we just know it’s going to be good. Because we booked with Jema Safaris and Tours, a local tour operator in Tanzania. He had planned the trip incredibly well for us before we started. And we realized that he was really implementing it according to the plan and sincerely. We started at Tarengire National Park Setting up our first camp inside the park, with stars lighting up the sky and distant animal sounds in the background, felt both surreal and grounding. We saw a huge elephant. The next at Lake Manyara was a surprise package. I’d read about tree-climbing lions before. We camped near the village that night, and the vibe was so warm. Then came Serengeti was everything we imagined, and then some. Camping in the Serengeti at night was wild, literally. We could hear hyenas laughing somewhere in the dark, and at one point, I swear I heard a lion roar. Camping in the Serengeti at night was wild, literally. We could hear hyenas laughing somewhere in the dark, and at one point, I swear I heard a lion roar. Finally, our final day the Ngorongoro Crater was like nature showing off. Within a few hours, we spotted rhinos, elephants, buffalo, lions, and countless flamingos. Simple camping, amazing guides ( Eddy & Kareem ) and nonstop wildlife the 5 day we stay our hearts.

It was a well-organized safari experience, every moment will be remembered.

Our 5 Tanzanian safari experience was very well and provided By Hassan at Jema Safaris and Tours. We start exploring at Lake Manyara, it was stunning, with monkeys, giraffes, and hippos making an appearance. Serengeti our next place, it was simply magical with the endless plains and abundant wildlife. We were lucky to witness the migration, and the glamping experience at Serengeti. Our guide Eddy was knowledgeable and ensured we had an excellent safari experience. The Ngorongoro Crater was a perfect grand finale with abundant wildlife in a stunning natural setting. This was truly an authentic and raw safari experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review

I felt completely connected to nature for 5 days.

I joined a 5-day camping safari in Tanzania, It was very fun with the passionate Tanzanian local tour operator Jema Safaris and Tours & made the whole journey enjoyable. I was able to join this group with Hassan's help. Of course, I sincerely thank you for making the safari easier for me. The adventure I felt was authentic - waking up to the sound of birds and distant animal calls, spending the day exploring the parks, and then gathering around the campfire under the stars at night. The guides Karrim and Eddy were knowledgeable, friendly, and truly passionate about the wildlife, which made the journey both fun and educational. I love nature and really enjoyed Tanzania. So I went on a camping safari. It was an experience that will stay with me long after I return home.

5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks cost?

+

Prices start at $1200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Day Group Camping Safari in Tanzania's Wildlife Parks start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
