Excellent guide, no transportation provided.
Our guide, Nick, was great. He was kind, patient, and knowledgable. He advised on the places to visit within the park and met us at the locations and hung out while we explored. He was available to ask any questions we had. We were not expecting to drive to each location ourselves but we did not clarify that prior. That would have been a big help. Especially considering that the roads make me nervous being so close to the edge and high up. Hence the trip was a bit stressful in between stops. I was hoping to avoid that and be able to relax and enjoy the tour guide handling that. On that, it was an average experience and priced a bit high in retrospect. But any chance you get to talk to Nick is a great time.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We’re really glad to hear you enjoyed your time with Nick—he’s not only incredibly kind and knowledgeable, but truly one of the best naturalists in Yosemite. Nick actually grew up in the park and was raised by one of Yosemite’s lead naturalists, so his connection to the land runs deep. We’re lucky to have him on our team. I also really appreciate your honest feedback about the transportation aspect. While the tour description does note that transportation is not included, I completely understand how that detail can be missed in the excitement of planning. Based on your experience, I’ll be adding a clear reminder in our pre-adventure questionnaire to help set expectations and avoid any surprises. We hope you enjoyed other aspects of the tour as well—especially ending the day with s’mores in the heart of Yosemite. It’s such a special way to wrap up a day in the park, and we’re grateful we could share that with you. If your travels ever bring you back to Yosemite, we’d love the opportunity to create another memorable adventure—this time with even more ease and relaxation. Warm regards, Gabe

Dream trip to Yosemite
Gabe was phenomenal! He planned a great 10 hour excursion into Yosemite for me, my son, 3 other dads and their sons. We loved the places we went to. We loved his expertise and we loved his vibe. He was super communicative with me as we planned the trip and I loved working with him!

It was a joy to craft a day full of exploration and connection—and I loved the energy you all brought to it! Truly appreciate the kind words, and I hope our paths cross again for more Yosemite magic down the road. 🙏🌲 Warmly, Gabe

Hidden Gems, Perfect Planning, and Epic Memories
Absolutely incredible experience with Gabe / Wild Yosemite! We booked Gabe as our guide for a day in Yosemite this past weekend and also used his services to plan out our itinerary for the days we wouldn’t be with him—which I highly recommend. The park is massive, and it’s way too easy to waste time not knowing where to go, what order to do things in, or how long things will take. Gabe not only mapped everything out perfectly but also recommended great places to eat, scenic stops, and hidden gems we never would have found on our own. The itinerary alone was more detailed and helpful than I expected, and we got so much more out of our trip thanks to him. My husband and I went with our teenage son and his friend. One day, we ended up taking much longer on a hike than planned and were worried the boys might miss out on some of the Yosemite experiences we had talked about. Gabe came to the rescue—super flexible—and picked them up to ensure they didn’t miss a thing. When we all met up again that evening for sunset and s’mores at Glacier Point (at a private spot with a panoramic view we never would have found on our own), I could tell instantly that the boys had a blast. They did not stop talking about how much fun they had with him—for the rest of the night and the rest of the trip! What surprised me most is how Gabe went above and beyond what we expected from a guide. He stayed flexible as the boys wanted to switch things up, taking them to the spots they found most exciting—including El Capitan and a stunning hidden beach. Gabe truly knows Yosemite in a way only an expert could. And then—bonus—he’s also a skilled photographer! So we ended up with the coolest action shots of the boys and absolutely gorgeous group photos at sunset. Honestly, the value of Gabe’s services through Wild Yosemite is worth way more than what you pay. We would have never had as much fun or experienced the park as fully without him. If you’re heading to Yosemite, don’t think twice—book Gabe. You’ll never regret knowing you spent your time in the absolute best way possible!
Response from the operator: Wow—thank you so much for this incredibly kind and thoughtful review. You were all such a joy to spend the day with! It was a real pleasure getting to know each of you and helping shape a Yosemite adventure that fit your style. I’m so glad the boys had fun (they cracked me up all day!), and that the trip gave you the experience you were looking for. Thanks again for trusting me with your time in the park. I’d adventure with you all again in a heartbeat!

Amazing tour of Yosemite
Gabe was fun, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He tailored our trip perfectly for a family of mixed ability (!) and we saw more in one day of Yosemite than we ever could have dreamed to on our own. This is a very big Recommend! Thanks Gabe.
Response from the operator: Aw heck yes! 😄 You all made it so much fun — dream team vibes all around! Huge thanks for the kind words. I’m stoked we packed in so many Yosemite gems. Come back anytime for round two — there’s always more granite to explore!

Unforgettable Family Adventure in Yosemite!
This was hands down the best guided family adventure we’ve ever had! From start to finish, the tour was pure joy for all five of us. Our guide, Marc, was incredible, engaging, knowledgeable, and amazing with our three kids, keeping them excited while teaching them about Yosemite’s geology and history. We started the day exploring the giant sequoias, feeling tiny beneath these ancient creatures. Then, we explored breathtaking waterfalls and hiked to the base of El Capitan. Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, we spotted a mama bear with her two cubs! It was a once-in-a-lifetime moment we’ll never forget. Marc led us to a stunning hidden overlook as the sun set, where we enjoyed our packed dinner with unreal sunset views. And to top it all off? S’mores as the sky turned gold and pink. Huge thanks to Marc and Wild Yosemite for an unforgettable day. If you’re looking for the ultimate family adventure, this is it!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that your family had such a memorable experience. Marc is indeed an incredible guide, and we’re so glad he was able to engage your kids while sharing his love for Yosemite’s geology and history. It sounds like you had the perfect combination of adventure and wildlife, capped off with an unforgettable sunset and s’mores. We're honored to have been part of such a special day for your family. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in the future!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yosemite National Park.
How much does Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores cost?
+
Prices start at $429 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yosemite National Park usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yosemite National Park is not rushed.
Is Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yosemite National Park, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yosemite National Park can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yosemite National Park and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Yosemite Magic: Highlights, Sunset, and S'mores start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yosemite National Park within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Yosemite National Park?
+
Yosemite tours cover Valley loops to El Capitan and Half Dome viewpoints, Glacier Point sunsets, Mariposa Grove sequoias and waterfall hikes in spring melt. Day trips from San Francisco run long, so we weight transparency on drive time. On Outty we rank every Yosemite National Park experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yosemite Highlights Small Group Tour, Yosemite Valley Private Hiking Tour, Yosemite Winter Highlights Small Group Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Yosemite National Park?
+
May to June for waterfalls, September to October for quiet trails. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Yosemite National Park?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
