Call Yusuf!
Yusuf , the owner guided me. He was a blast! We had so much fun! Customized transportation ( I had errands for my volunteer work) was easy and supportive. He was very personable and funny. We had a “coffee dance “that all tourists should experience! AND ! Very patient while I shopped, lol.

Moshi waterfall hike and coffee plantation lunch
A family staying at our same hotel in Arusha recommended the waterfall hike a coffee plantation very highly after going with Yusuf at Serengeti Insider Safaris. Yusuf picked us up at our hotel with gifts of water bottles and Masai blankets! Then we drove to the waterfall hike in the wet jungle on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro - good thing Yusuf knew the right people to get mud boots from, we needed them!!! After the beautiful hike and amazing waterfall, we learned all about the traditional coffee preparation and bought some local coffee beans to bring home. The lunch after was so much food, all local prepared and traditional. We had our 2 teenage daughters with us and they had a great time and more than enough to eat! Bring small shilling bills in case you want to buy any souvenirs (hard to barging when you only have 10,000 shilling bills!). You also might want to tip the kids if they find a chameleon and let it walk on your arm! We had such a great time we had Yusuf arrange an overnight hike on the slopes of Kilimanjaro (we did not have enough time to hike to the summit). I’ll have to leave a separate review for that because it was so amazing!

Best waterfall hike with the BEST guide!!
Yusef was the BEST guide!! He took the time to get to know us and personalized our tour. It was very apparent he was very well respected and liked in the community. Our day spent with Yusef was our highlight of the trip. If you do the waterfall hike/coffee farm, be sure to ask Yusef about his flying skills.

Top of the top, amazing people with a lot of information to share. Yusef got his time, show us and explained everything. Always very polite, friendly, funny with good vibes. Both Yusuf and Alexey are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They patiently answered all our questions with depth and insight, adding so much value to the journey. Yusuf took us to stunning hidden spots around Materuni Waterfalls and Chemka Hot Springs, where the views were simply breathtaking. One of the highlights was making fresh Arabica coffee with the Chaga people—a hands-on cultural experience we’ll never forget.
