DREAM COME TRUE! Thank you Luther and Suricata Safaris
Our safari in Tanzania was simply spectacular and exceeded all our expectations, and we are sure that a large part of everything we were able to experience and witness was only possible thanks to our guide, Luther Matari! From the beginning, Luther demonstrated an impressive knowledge of wildlife, animal behavior, and every region we passed through. Your experience, dedication, and ability to interpret nature made us be in the right places, at the right times, providing scenes we never imagined having the opportunity to witness! It was two days in Central Serengeti, two days in North Serengeti, one day in Tarangire, and one day in Ngorongoro Crater. We had the privilege of watching two wildebeest crossings in the Mara River on the same day, watching a cheetah hunting and taking down a gazelle, witnessing hyenas hunting a buffalo, and finding a group of lions feeding on a buffalo hunted that same morning. Impressive wildlife moments were happening before our eyes! And it is precisely because we have lived so many extraordinary experiences that we want to highlight Luther Matari again. We don't believe it was just luck. Your knowledge, your persistence, and your reading of the animals were fundamental to the safari we had! Luther didn't just take us from one place to another: he was constantly observing, analyzing, and striving to provide the best possible experience. Besides being an extremely studious, intelligent, and competent guide, Luther is a great person. Organized, responsible, attentive, and committed not only to us, but also to the company it represents, Suricata Safaris. Throughout the trip, he stopped being just our guide and became someone for whom we developed a very special affection and admiration! We already expected a safari in Tanzania to be incredible, but we didn't imagine experiencing everything we did! The Great Migration, the hunts, the predators, the landscapes, and the amount of wildlife transformed this trip into one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. If we could give a recommendation to those who plan to go on a safari in Tanzania, it would be: go with Suricata Safaris and ask to do the safari with Luther! For us, he made all the difference. Thank you, Luther, and thank you to Suricata Safaris for providing an experience that was far beyond what we dreamed. It was a true spectacle we will never forget! 🇹🇿

Your satisfaction is our greatest reward. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again for another incredible journey in the future.

Cuidado!
An unforgettable experience with Suricata Safari! 🦁💛 We absolutely loved every place we visited and everything we were able to see during our safari. So much of this incredible experience was thanks to our guide, Luther. He was amazing from beginning to end! He knew exactly where to go, how to get there, and always did his best to give us the best possible views of the animals, often getting us incredibly close to them. His knowledge, dedication, and attention made all the difference. We also want to thank the entire Suricata Safari team for their care and dedication. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed, safe, and truly looked after. It is clear that they put a lot of heart and attention into making sure their guests have an unforgettable experience. This safari gave us memories that we will carry with us forever. 🥹💛 We recommend Suricata Safari 110% and would absolutely choose them again! 🦁🙏🏼💛
Response from the operator: We truly appreciate your kind words and feedback. Knowing that you enjoyed the wildlife, landscapes, and overall experience means a lot to our team. Thank you for choosing us for your safari adventure.

Amazing operator.
We booked directly with Suricata, as we wanted to use a Tanzania based tour operator. The reviews I read were spot on - the safari was brilliant and our guide Eke was amazing We stayed in mid range accommodation - there was a food variety between hotels, lodges and bush camps. Our days were packed - early starts meant that we were able to see as much as possible on our seven day safari. Eke wanted us to have the best animal experience, and we absolutely did. We saw three separate river crossings, three leopards in one day, a cheetah and her cubs. Not to mention forty lions, two rhino and countless elephants, giraffes, zebras and gazelles. We were really spoilt! Communication from Eke was great - he always gave us the necessary information for the day ahead. Communication from the office was, at times, a little slow - especially providing information about internal flights and transfers. We felt the tour was great value for money - we weren't expecting anywhere near the level of luxury that we received! We would highly recommend Suricata for a wonderful safari experience
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re very happy to hear that your safari met your expectations. Our guides and team work hard to create unforgettable journeys, and your review motivates us greatly.

Superb, out-of-the-ordinary experience
An exceptional safari: perfectly professional organization (the change to the itinerary for the last 3 days was completely relevant: it allowed us to optimize the visit to the tribes in the Lake Eyasi area... you really need the whole morning for the Hadzabe), the driver-guide was top-notch and often found a way to sneak into the front row to admire one of the "big five," the lodges were very good and comfortable (the campsites were not camping in the ordinary sense), the food was very good, and everyone was helpful and friendly... Plus, I traveled solo and Suricate Safaris did not charge me any supplement... bravo! I had some "magical" moments... (and yet I thought I was jaded!) Special mention for the very good Suricatas Boma Lodge where we spent 3 nights: pool + fitness center and superb view of Lake Manyara... conclusion: I highly recommend Suricata Safaris!

Is 8 Days Private Mid-Range Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book 8 Days Private Mid-Range Safari?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
