What you get

    About this experience

The 7 day Machame route approaches Kilimanjaro through forest and moorland from the south-west, and joins the Shira route before traversing beneath the southern ice fields of Kibo. The rainforest is extremely beautiful and there is a tangible sense of ‘wilderness’ once the higher elevations are reached. The views of Mt. Meru floating on the clouds are simply unforgettable, and we make our final ascent to the summit by the stunning Barafu route. The seven day itinerary gives maximum possible acclimatization, and also gives us plenty of time to enjoy the magnificent scenery

    Fantastic Safari in Tanzania

We had a fantastic time traveling through Tanzania with Hazzes Adventure. Everything was really well organized, including the accommodations and pickups. We climbed Mt Kilimanjaro through the 7-Day Machame Route. Our guide Mtui and his colleagues did everything they could to make everyone in the group feel at ease and to ensure that we all reached the summit. We felt safe at all times and were impressed by the team's efforts.

Response from the operator: Hi Liliana Thank you for writing us a good review, I hope to see you soon as we talked about next Adventure safari with in Serengeti National park.

    Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking

On this trip, Hazzes Adventure took excellent care of us! We hiked Mount Kilimanjaro for 7 days and were well taken care of by our outstanding guides (Emmanuel, Mtui, and Noel), as well as the 20+ porters! Everyone was incredibly nice and happy for us. The lunch was surprisingly delicious (thank you, Chef Obed). This was an unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to share my memories with family and friends back home. Hazzes Adventure is highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Hi Elysia your real strong woman, to reach on top of the African highest mountain, thank you as you remember to write us a good review.

    Kilimanjaro climbing via Machame

This was an incredible trekking adventure. We were in good hands with our guides Noel, Mtui, Emmanuel, and the rest of the crew, and we were entertained with song, language lessons, and local cuisine the entire time. I strongly recommend Hazzes for your Mount Kilimanjaro adventure.

Response from the operator: Hello, Thank you so much for sharing your positive review on Trip Advisor, hope to see you soon for your next unforgettable Adventure with us.

7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Moshi.

How much does 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route cost?

    +

Prices start at $2860 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Moshi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route take?

    +

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Moshi is not rushed.

Is 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Moshi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 168-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Moshi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Moshi and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 7 Days Kilimanjaro Climb Machame route start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Moshi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Moshi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Moshi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kilimanjaro climb, Lemosho Route (8-day), Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route, Materuni Waterfall, Coffee Tour and Picnic Hot Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Moshi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Moshi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
