Solo Trip to Tanzania
So BOOM! I started planning this trip in February of 2024. I was in communication with at least 20 Safari tour companies and they all had at least a 4.5 review. I knew within the first couple of days I would book with Pinnacle Adventures and Safari. Frazier was the company’s contact person from beginning to the end, and I already know I will not be able to say enough about him! He was kind, professional, personable, extremely knowledgeable about the tours, patient, and he paid close attention to detail (which was important to me). He answered every question I had from beginning to end and worked with me EVERY DAY for 6 months to make my lifelong dream come true! This included him being flexible with time..late nights and early mornings due to the time difference between countries. I hope he knows how much I appreciate him and that I will remember him forever! I stayed in 5 different accommodations over the course of 6 nights and they all were fantastic, clean, and comfortable with excellent workers! GodBless was my tour guide. He was cool…. Real chill and performed his job well. The people of Tanzania were the absolute BEST part!!! They were so beautiful, kind, and extremely hard workers! If you’re planning any type of adventure in Tanzania, you CAN NOT… WILL NOT go wrong with Pinnacle Adventures and Safari!!! Take it from me… I am particular! I will add pictures later! If you’re thinking
Response from the operator: Wow, Janience, First and foremost, that profile picture is the best in the whole world of photography. You're such an absolutely lovely person, eager to learn and explore, a kind heart, and it made my job with you a lot easier. I still hope you'll be back and we do a walking safari in Serengeti together. Thank you so much for appreciating your experience with us.

What more you need from a local tour operator!
My wife and I had a fantastic 8-day private safari in Tanzania with Pinnacle Tanzania in July 2024. We worked with N Gloria in their office to plan a custom safari that included Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti National Park and the Northern Serengeti. She was helpful, patient and very responsive. Our guide on the safari was Mzee Chuwaa, and he was fantastic. He seemed always to know the best routes and the best places to see wildlife, and did his best to accommodate our interests. He was a veritable font of knowledge about wildlife, trees and plants. We saw everything we hoped for and much more -- the so-called big five, the great migration, and wildebeest river crossings, plus large numbers of giraffes, gazelle, zebras and many other animals, and uncountable numbers and species of birds. The tour vehicle was in great condition and comfortable. Pinnacle provided delicious hot lunches daily. The accommodations (hotels on the first and last night, and tented camps the other nights) were delightful. On a whim, we let them know the trip was a celebration of our 20th anniversary. To our surprise, they honored us nearly every night. The entire Pinnacle team led by Frazier provided a well-coordinated and wonderful safari that exceeded our (admittedly high) expectations, at a competitive price.
Response from the operator: Dear Craig, Thank you for your thoughtful and generous review. Your feedback truly made our day, and we greatly appreciate your kind words. We are delighted to hear that your experience with Pinnacle was positive. Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction is our utmost priority, and it is incredibly gratifying to know we have met your expectations. Please understand that any advice or counsel you provide will be valued and diligently adhered to.

Our Big Five Safari Experience with Pinnacle
I can't say enough good things about Pinnacle Adventures! We had a fantastic guide named Goodluck. He was very knowledgeable about all the animals, trees, etc. He also knew where to find the animals. He took very good care of our family for 6 days. He even had to call the lab to make sure we had our PCR tests back on time. If we ever make it back Tanzania we will definitely book with Pinnacle Adventures! Also, a special "shout out" to Issa our driver who took us to the airport. He waited in the parking lot for us for about 2 hours to make sure we boarded our plane back to Qatar. ( We were having some issues with our PCR tests, I told him that he could go but he still waited to make sure everything was OK)... We really appreciated that. Thank You, The Liam Family
Response from the operator: Dear Camilla, We really appreciate the opportunity to offer you the Tanzania safari experience, we're so glad that we met your expectation. Cheers and welcome back to our beautiful country next time

Tanzania is incredible
We had an all-round carefree sarafi with our guide Adam. Everything was perfectly organised, from airport pick-up to itinerary and last minute rebooking of our connecting flights to Zanzibar. The route was optimally adapted to the weather conditions and hiking routes of the animals. The selected hotels/lodges were all great. The safari jeep was always in perfect condition and was cleaned and tidy every morning ready for our next adventure. Our guide Adam has responded very well to our individual wishes. We've seen a lot of animals we would never have discovered without him. Thanks to Adam, we learned a lot about Tanzania's four-legged inhabitants. He also gave information about the country and its people - in fluent English and sometimes even in German.
Response from the operator: Vielen Dank Fynn We really appreciate your review and we're blessed to had the opportunity to offer all the services we did. All the best and please, welcome back next time.

Thank you Pinnacle Safaris in Tansania
Pinnacle started off on a great note. We initially emailed them about a different tour, but they advised us that a migration route may be good to go to as our timing was good for it. We appreciated the offer as we didn't really know much about it, and we are so glad we did! We had the most amazing time with our guide Thomas! It was a rocky start - the airport took hours to process everyone's pre-purchased eVisas, so poor Frazier had to wait 2 hours for us. He was still incredibly friendly despite all the trouble, and brought us to Arusha so that we can be briefed with our itinerary. Rosemary who was our email contact, was there and helped us out with understanding the next few days. They laid out meals for us despite our lateness and we were not rushed at all. We frequently apologized for all the trouble, so Frazier's mantra for the week with us was "hakuna matata". Thank you so much for everything.
Response from the operator: Dear Alice, we are so grateful that we had you guys on Safari, so grateful that we didn't have trouble waiting for you guys to finish with all the processes you had to go through. Welcome back next time and we hope to have you again.

6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury cost?
+
Prices start at $5480 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6-Day Serengeti Migration: Private Safari with Mid-range Luxury start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
