Overpriced

I am not rating this tour as 1 because of the locations in the tour. These places are more than 5 stars but the rating is due: It was not the tour operator mentioned here who did the tour. I was with another travelers who apparently did not book the same tour with the same operator. Also, when asked as to the amount paid for the tour, we all paid different amounts. I paid the amount as advertised here but apparently, you can have it in a way lower amount when you bargain. I suggest you look for an operator once you are in Arusha instead of booking it online (now I know this is how it works in Africa). I suggest you book with Arunga tours (they were the operator who did our tour). Julius (our guide) was amazing most of the time. Although overpriced, I would have to say that this is one of the best trips I've had (especially the descent from Ngorongoro to Serengeti - Rift Valley was amazing!).

Response from the operator: Thanks Georsaddg for booking camping safari with us and taking your time to leave a review. We would like to confirm to you that we are based in Kenya and according to relationship between the two countries Kenya and Tanzania, we are not allowed to drive in Tanzania parks and therefore we contract our Sister Company in Tanzania as it happened and we are indeed grateful that your safari was Amazing and one of the Best Trips as you have mentioned above.

I had an excellent safari...

I had an excellent safari experience. Saw 4 of the big 5 on the Serengeti in one day which can be difficult because of leopards are very reclusive. Saw 3 of the big 5 at Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire also in one day. Did not have the chance to visit Olduvai Gorge. The campsite for Lake Manyara was not up to the same criteria as at the Serengeti or Ngorongoro as it was located in town. I had private tour at Lake Manyara and Tarangire as I was the only one to sign up. There was some confusion as to which operator that I would be with because the operator is based in Kenya and hires local operators for Tanzania but everything worked out. Our guide was able to point out animals to far to see which allowed the group to see a couple of rhinos and a male and female lion.

Tour operator .. amazing! We loved...

Tour operator .. amazing! We loved this trip. What a variety of game parks and sites to see. Pre and post tour attention was incredible. Only thing was, maybe an option to request camp beds instead of mattresses for us oldies! Thank you for an amazing experience. Well worthwhile.

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
