Incredible Safari Experience!

My friend and I had an amazing safari experience with Serengeti Camping Safari! The travel manager, Anita, was a joy to work with in the booking process and she met us before and after the safari experience at the hotel to make sure everything went smoothly and introduce us to our guides. Our safari guide, Aaron was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He went over the days’ itinerary with us each day and made sure we were happy with the plan. He made sure we had an amazing experience personal to us. I can’t stress enough the wonderful things we got to see because of Aaron! At every point along the way— from booking to airport pickup, to the safari itself— everyone we interacted with from Serengeti Camping Safari was thoughtful, kind, and responsive.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking your time to write a review, it is pleasing to know that you guys had a wonderful time in Tanzania. Many people find it difficult to choose a travel agency for their safari, and we are honored you chose us and we are humbled that we did not let you down. Once again thank you for choosing Serengeti Camping Safari!

Outstanding Organization & great employees!

My girlfriend and I booked a 6-day safari as well as a 6-day Kilimanjaro climb (Machame Route) and a transfer to Zanzibar with Serengeti Camping Safari. Our contact person during the whole period was Anita. She is a real organizational talent and answered all our questions, within a few minutes, to our complete satisfaction. Honestly, we have never felt so well taken care of on any of our trips as with her. Anita does a great job and is also a kind-hearted person! At Kilimanjaro Airport we were warmly welcomed by Anita and a driver. We went directly to the office (Arusha City Center) where we received welcome gifts (I don't want to spoil too much here) and the rest of the payment was processed. Afterwards there was the briefing for the safari which started the next morning. Everything made a super impression. After the briefing we were driven to a nice hotel with a garden where we should spend the night (The Charity Hotel, Arusha). At the hotel we freshened up briefly and then Anita showed us around town and got us some local food. Then it was already late and we went to bed because the safari should start the next morning and we were still a little tired from the flight. After breakfast we were greeted by Anita and Aaron, our safari guide. We were introduced to each other and then we were off! Aaron has been a very personable guide and had lots of knowledge as well as a very good eye for animals. The car was a comfortable Toyota Land Cruiser. We went to the following parks: Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. We stayed at Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge, Serengeti Heritage Luxury Camp and Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp. One accommodation was more beautiful than the other! During the safari, we were provided full board. There was breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was always very good. Aaron always asked us what we wanted to do and gave us super suggestions. So we usually left early in the morning to take advantage of the whole day in the respective park. The safari was a lot of fun and we would book it again the same way. On the last day of the safari Aaron drove us back to the hotel where we had the briefing for our Kilimanjaro climb. We were accommodated in the same hotel. Again everything was very well organized by Anita.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Gordon & Jonell for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us Serengeti Camping Safari and we agree, Anita is truly a gem to have on our team! We count ourselves lucky to have clients like you guys. We would love to have you back in the future. Once again thank you!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 6 Day: Epic Northern Safari cost?

+

+

Is 6 Day: Epic Northern Safari worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is 6 Day: Epic Northern Safari suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book 6 Day: Epic Northern Safari?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6 Day: Epic Northern Safari start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
