Unforgettable experience with a fantastic guide, Amani!!
Upon our arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport on February 10th, we were greeted by our guide, Amani, who accompanied us throughout our six-day journey across the national parks in North Tanzania. Amani, with his friendly demeanor, professionalism, and thorough preparedness, immediately put us at ease. He provided comprehensive explanations about wildlife, nature, and Tanzanian culture, showcasing his deep knowledge of the parks and wildlife, and ensuring we spotted numerous animals, including the renowned Big Five and the impressive migration of zebras and wildebeests in the southern Serengeti. Moreover, Amani's fluency in both English and French, coupled with his exceptional driving skills, proved invaluable, particularly on challenging and muddy roads, especially after rainfall. Our itinerary included visits to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti, before concluding with a relaxing seaside retreat in Zanzibar. Throughout the journey, the organization overseen by Kanje was impeccable, with top-notch lodges, excellent cuisine, and well-considered schedules. In summary, we wholeheartedly endorse Kanje Grand Tours for a Tanzanian adventure, and Amani for his exceptional service and insightful commentary, which truly enhanced our family's unforgettable experience.

Excellent tour Operator
Over 18 years ago I spent a year volunteering in Arusha and during this time did a six day safari with a local company that I was able to select based on local knowledge. This time around I had to pick a company based on internet searches and reviews so was slightly mindful whether I would have the same experience as before. To my delight, Kanje grand tours- a Tanzanian owned company - met my expectations and then some. Innocent, managing director of the company, was attentive to my needs and budget from the outset. He listened to what I wanted and responded with an itinerary that was suitable for my young family. Our driver/guide and chef were equally attentive and flexible to the needs and patience of my 8 and 13 year olds. George was an amazing chef who ensured we had three hot and tasty meals a day. While other safari companies served sandwiches for lunch, George served up three course meals of deliciousness! Our kids loved every meal. From start to finish our safari met all expectations. We saw all of the hoped for animals and birds at close range. The driver/guide seemed to know everyone and worked the radio to keep tabs on the latest sightings. My wife said he was also a terrific driver and how we were driving in long wheel base Land Cruisers which are more comfortable. The drives were varied and breaks were spaced out to ensure our children did not get bored or frustrated. The guide was equally helpful in engaging and entertaining the kids. Our youngest delighted in learning a bit of Kiswahili. I would fully recommend Kanje grand tours. It provides great value for a really amazing safari, you're in safe hands, plus you're supporting the local economy.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $3713 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 6-Day Essence of Serengeti & Ngorongoro Migration Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
