Experience of a Lifetime
Telly Africa Safaris made my first time in Africa an unforgettable experience that made me fall in love with the country and animals. The whole trip from the start to the end was an incredible and worry-free experience. Catherine did a fantastic job customizing our itinerary. She was extremely responsive and was always checking in to make sure that the safari was meeting and exceeding our expectations. Big shout to our experienced guide David. He was extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and you could tell that he truly cared about the animals and their environment. It was the moments where we learned about one another and our cultures that made our journey together special. The accommodations were awesome. The tented camp sites were a truly unforgettable experience. I will forever remember looking out the screen window in the middle of the night and seeing Wildebeest a few feet away from our tent. Must book experience through Telly Africa Safaris!!

Well organised & phenomenal experience for honeymoon
We knew we wanted to do Safari for our honeymoon the question was who with, how do you pick them, are they are scam? Prior to booking with Telly we looked at many safari operators, many had issues with communication, response time, price and trust worthiness. Telly stood out from the rest by being excellent at all of the above. They provided a clear, initial itinerary in a timely manner, responded very quickly to our questions and alterations, with a good price and built trust in the process. They organised our transport to and from the airport, our internal flights (we flew from Zanzibar to Tanzania and back), booked all our accommodation and provided us with a private guide called Justin who was exceptional. We did 5 days, North Serengeti, Central Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire national park. All brilliant and with Justin’s knowledge, sense of humour and superb driving - it will be an experience we will remember for the rest of our days.

Excellent safari
Amazing 6-day safari in Tanzania with Telly! Everything was very well organized, and our guide Davie was incredibly kind, friendly, and talented. He was the first guide to spot a lion miles away 😮. We had a wonderful time visiting the parks and seeing the wildlife. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed

Telly 6 Day Private Safari
Amazing Serengeti safari with Telly Safari. From the very beginning, Catherine was exceptional. She helped us throughout the entire planning process, answered every question promptly, and was always available whenever an issue came up. Her support didn’t stop once the trip began—she continued to assist us during the safari and even followed up afterward to make sure everything had gone well. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication truly made a difference. Our guide, David, was outstanding. He was kind and knowledgeable about the wildlife, especially the animals and birds of the area. His tracking skills were remarkable. Thanks to his expertise, we witnessed a spectacular wildebeest crossing less than two hours after arriving in the reserve. Even more impressive, he spotted a lion from what seemed like over 400 feet away, and because of his sharp eye, we were the very first vehicle to arrive at the sighting. The hotels selected for our trip were beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly complemented the overall. If you’re looking for a company that is well organized, truly cares about its guests, and provides exceptional guides, we highly recommend Telly Safari. Thank you, Catherine and David and Michael for giving us memories that will last a lifetime!

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania cost?
+
Prices start at $1413 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania take?
+
Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 5 Days Private Safari Tour & Maasai village Visit Tanzania start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
