I highly recommend this safari and I will always remember it.

Our four-day camping safari with my four cousins was rich in unforgettable moments and exceeded all our expectations. The visit to the Serengeti offered us countless opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural habitat, while the Ngorongoro Crater impressed us with its breathtaking landscapes and its incredible animal diversity. Everything was perfectly organized by the professional agency HERBIVORE AFRICAN EXPEDITIONS. Our guide, Moses, was wonderful and his explanations made our trip easy and exceptional. Camping gave the trip a true immersion in the heart of nature, and falling asleep in the heart of nature was a truly unique experience.

    Peaceful Tanzanian journey.

Our 4-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro camping safari was a great achievement and rewarding experience. Our guide was superb, he always made sure our safety and insured best views. This camping safari taught me how little we really need to feel fulfilled. No fancy lodges, no distractions - just wildlife, scenery and time. The Serengeti was overwhelming in the best way possible, animals everywhere and the sky seemed endless. The days were long but never tiring, as each drive brought something new. Camping made everything feel grounded and real. The Ngorongoro Crater was peaceful but powerful, full of animals and stunning views from above. All of this was truly wonderfully organised by Herbivore African Expeditions.

4 days in Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater was best rewarding experience.

It was our first time in Tanzanian journey. The 3 days was undoubtedly our best time for safari. Guide Shuma always helped us, very friendly and he explained very well about animals behaviors. Every game drive was new thrilling for us. Our camp was perfect and very private, the decorations was fantastic. Really it was great experience with my husband.

Our 4 days was Peaceful, Educational & Full of Excitement.

Our 4 day camping safari in Tanzania with HERBIVORE AFRICAN EXPEDITIONS was peaceful and also educational for our son(9) and daughter(13). We explored Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro NP. Our adventure began early in the morning, driving toward Serengeti National Park. Our guide was perfect for our children, he made the journey both educational and seamless. We watched a pride of lions waking up for the day and later encountered giraffes moving gracefully across the plains. Ngorongoro Crater was the perfect grand finale. Descending into the crater felt like entering another world-dense animal life, shimmering lakes, and open spaces filled with grazing wildlife. Our 4 day HERBIVORE team made the entire experience feel effortless and we felt adventure, beauty, and unforgettable moments.

Response from the operator: Dear Leandre We are very grateful that you took the time to leave a review on our platform.

4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping cost?

    +

Prices start at $1214 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping take?

    +

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 96-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 4-Day Serengeti Ngorongoro Camping start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

    +

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
