Above Average Wine Tour, A++
This was a great way to become acquainted with the with the wines of the Valencia region. Paulius is an amazing guide. He's studied the history and flavors of the area and offers a wealth of knowledge. We experienced the history of wine in Utiel Requena from ancient caves and clay amphoras to modern wine making at a family-owned vineyard. A highlight was the chance to experience the new to us Bobal grape and the delicious wine it produces. We also had the opportunity to enjoy lunch (and wine) at an authentic local restaurant.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this fantastic review, F. & D.! It was a pleasure guiding you through the unique wine heritage of Utiel-Requena — from the ancient caves and clay amphoras to the family-run winery where Bobal truly shines as you've experienced. I’m really glad you enjoyed discovering this grape and pampering yourselves with a local-food lunch… that’s the heart of the region! I’m thrilled the experience resonated with you, and I’d love to welcome you — or future travelers reading this — for another occasion to enjoy great wines, stories, and hidden corners of Valencia’s wine country. Cheers! 🍷 Paulius

Wine tastes better when poured with stories, sipped with strangers who become friends, and sealed with laughter.
Paulius was amazing. 2 couples from Brazil and 1 from the U.S. and he kept us all entertained, included in all discussions and he was able to jump from English to Spanish back and forth without hesitation. He helped us discover the Bobol grapes of the region and why they deserve a place on the world stage. Walking through the caves in the moorish village of Requena, we had a wonderful experience of learning how the medieval people lived and drinking some very nice wines. Onward to the vineyard, Vera de Estanas, bought by a family in the 1980’s, who have spent their lives grooming the vineyards and presenting the best of the Bobol grapes. Lunch was a masterful presentation of exquisite wines with Paulius astounding me with his knowledge and training…. He has the superhuman powers of distinguishing wines by being able to detect vintage grapes & quality through nothing more than aroma and taste…. Amazing.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your incredible review! 🍷 It was a real pleasure to share the day with you all! I’m delighted you enjoyed discovering the Bobal grape, exploring the caves of Requena, and experiencing the passion of the Vera de Estenas family. I’m very happy the lunch and wine pairings made the day memorable for you – that’s the magic of this region: history, people, and wines all coming together. I’d love to welcome you back anytime to explore even more of Valencia’s hidden wine treasures. Cheers! Paulius

Fantastic tour - well worth it
A fantastic tour given by Paulius. We were given an expert tour of the traditional and modern wine making process. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging throughout. The wines are fantastic with some I've never tried before. All finished off with a fantastic lunch overlooking the beautiful vine covered valley leading up to Utiel. I'd highly recommend taking this tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Paddy! 🍷 It was a real pleasure to guide you through this experience and to share some local wines that aren’t easy to come by. I’m delighted you enjoyed the day, that really is one of the best ways to explore Utiel-Requena wine region! I’d be happy to welcome you back anytime to discover even more places around Valencia! 🥂 Cheers! Paulius

Excellent Wine Tour
Excellent full day tour of wineries just outside of Valencia. Our guide Valeria was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wines of Spain. She provided us with a lot more information and detail about the wines and their distinctive differences than most guides usually do. She was both friendly and professional. We enjoyed the tours and the excellent lunch, however having Valeria as our guide definitely kicked it up to a 5 Star experience. It was well worth the $$$.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! 🍷 It was a real pleasure spending the day with you and sharing my passion for Spanish wines. I’m so glad you enjoyed the wineries, the lunch, and all the little details that make Valencia’s wine country so unique. Knowing the tour was a 5-star experience for you means a lot to me. I’d love to welcome you back in the future to discover even more of the region’s hidden wine gems! 🥂 Cheers! Valeria

5+++ Stars - A Must Do!!!
One of the best tours we’ve taken EVER!! Paulius and his wife are both trained sommeliers with a unique knowledge of the region. Turns out it was just my friend and I with Paulius for the entire day. Paulius took us to Requena first where he walked us through some of the history. Afterwards he led us through the wine tasting comprised of a cava, and white and red wines paired with chocolate. The second winery was at Utiel where he showed us around the grounds before leading us through the wines. He was able to select wines he thought we’d like based on our preferences and we enjoyed asking him questions about wine. We capped the day off at a restaurant that we would never have known to go to unless Paulius showed it to us. Overall I would give Paulius and this experience more than 5 stars if I could!!!
Response from the operator: It was a pleasure to spend that beautiful day with you, Cheers!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Valencia.
How much does Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines cost?
+
Prices start at $225 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Valencia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Valencia is not rushed.
Is Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 47 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Valencia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Valencia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Valencia and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Valencia Wine Country Tour: Wineries, Lunch & Bobal Wines start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Valencia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Valencia?
+
On Outty we rank every Valencia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Valencia Bike Tour from the City to the Beach, plus Bike Guy App!, Paella Cooking Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia, Real Paella Cooking Class – Market Visit & Sangría Workshop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Valencia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Valencia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
