    Very Interesting Busy Day

We met the tour operator at the port entrance, very quickly we became aware that they thought we’d already departed, another couple claimed to be us, they were on a mini bus tour not private. The car was called back and the situation quickly rectified. We still left the port area on time and were soon made very welcome by our guide Andrea and our driver Leandro. Our day ahead was explained to us and we were asked if there was anything else we’d like to see. Our drive out to Cruceros por la Peninsula Valdés was full of information about the area, what we could expect to see, and lots of our questions answered about living in Puerto Madryn. Andrea was very warm, friendly, passionate about her job and what she wanted to share with us, a real pleasure to be with. Leandro was full of information when assisting Andrea, if she wasn’t sure of the answer, she wasn’t afraid to ask him. Even though it was their first time together, you’d have thought it had been years by the very cohesive way they worked together. We saw just about all we could have expected to, Sea Lions, Elephant Seal, Guanaco, Rhea, Magellanic Penguins, Pichi, Tinamous and many other birds. You have to be very lucky to see Orca, Southern Write or any other Whales, this is Nature, and these sightings are very rare. Leandro was a very safe, conscientious driver who was constantly looking for wildlife as we transited between locations. He is a very thoughtful, considerate, friendly gentleman who made us feel very comfortable and safe. Andrea was so friendly and had a very likeable character, she is very dedicated to giving the correct information, knew so much about what we saw, told us about legends, history and the wildlife. Leandro was very knowledgable and keen to help us, Andrea’s English was very good and she translated for him and us, they are a great team and really made our day special. The tour was supposed to be around 6 hours, but between them they squeezed in so much more and still got us back to our ship in plenty of time after nearly 8 hours touring. It was an absolute pleasure meeting and touring with Andrea and Leandro. Thank you both very much!

Response from the operator: Eric, Thank you very much for your review! We are glad to hear that you had a wonderful time! Peninsula Valdes is a worthwhile excursion due to the number of animals that can be seen in the area. We are happy to hear that you were satisfied with our services! We look forward to seeing you again whenever you decide to return! Thank you very much! Best regards, Romina

Fantastic personalized service with knowledgeable guides

We had a fantastic trip with Odisea Patagonica. They arranged a private tour at the last minute and handled all our needs including for two older women in wheelchairs. Thank you Marisa (guide) and Diego (driver), and special thanks to Romina who made sure everything went perfectly. We saw penguins, elephant seals, and enjoyed time in Puerto Piramides. Everything went just perfectly.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the trust! It has been a pleasure to receive you, and we are happy that you had a beautiful experience at the destination. We are waiting for you when you want to return! Greetings ! Romina and Aline

Way too much driving to see so few animals...

Our guide was really good. Very well spoken, knowledgeable. He was passionate about his job. The problem with this tour is definitely not the guide. It's the distance you have to cover in a 6-7 hour timeframe (more than 400 kms, at least half of which is on dirt roads... and the fact that you will only see a few penguins and sea lions very far away. Better have a good camera lenses for pictures!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the trust! It has been a pleasure to receive you, and we are happy that you had a beautiful experience at the destination. We are waiting for you when you want to return! We regret that they did not see many animals that day, but seeing them in their natural habitat often causes the animals to move freely and not see them in quantity. Greetings ! Romina and Aline

Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Madryn.

How much does Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés cost?

    +

Prices start at $280 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Madryn usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Madryn is not rushed.

Is Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Madryn, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Madryn can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Madryn and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Tour Privado para Cruceros por la Península Valdés start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Madryn within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Puerto Madryn?

    +

On Outty we rank every Puerto Madryn experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best of Peninsula Valdés in one day, Shore Tours Punta Tombo Cruise Ship Passengers Puerto Madryn, Snorkeling with Sea Lions by Madryn Buceo. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Puerto Madryn?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Puerto Madryn?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
