15/10 Recommendations for Susanna!
If you are visiting Sintra, you must book a tour with Susanna! She spent 8 hours guiding our family (including two teenagers) and kept every single one of us completely engaged the entire day. Susanna is incredibly professional, brilliant with history, and knows all the local shortcuts and hidden insider surprises to avoid the crowds. She even helped us pick the perfect lunch spot and carefully walked us through the menu to make sure our family would love it—and we absolutely did! Listening to her recommendations made our day seamless. We already decided that on our next trip to Lisbon, our first call will be to book another tour with Susanna.
Response from the operator: Dear Trang, Thank you so much for your kind review. That's so good to receive this amazing feedback of our tours. It was a pleasure having such a nice family with us. Hope we have the chance to see you back. Thank you. Kind regards, Margarida

Five Stars Aren’t Enough for Susanna
Our tour with Susanna was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. As an official Portugal tour guide, her knowledge of the country’s history, culture, and traditions is truly exceptional. Every place we visited came to life through her stories and insights, making the experience far more meaningful than simply seeing the sights. What made the day even more special was Susanna herself. She was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive throughout the tour. We had a few medical considerations, and she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable, adjusting the pace when needed and checking in on us without ever making us feel like an inconvenience. She also knows all the best spots for stunning photos, so we came home with beautiful memories as well as a much deeper appreciation for Portugal. If you’re looking for more than just a sightseeing tour, and want a genuine cultural experience led by someone who is passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her guests, I couldn’t recommend Susanna more highly. She turned a wonderful day into an unforgettable one.
Response from the operator: Dear May, thank you so much for your wonderful review. Indeed that our guides are the best and all professional Portuguese guides and know everything about our country. It's so good to know that you spent a wonderful time with us. Kind regards, Margarida

AMAZING TOUR to Sintra!!!
Wonderful and highly Recommend! Suzanna was a wonderful tour guide- if you can request her you should! It was a private tour of Sintra- we saw Pena Palace, Moorish Castle and Regaleira - she picked us up near our Airbnb and because we were early she took us to grab some coffee and pastry before we started the day. My kids (15 & 17) were thankful and we appreciate the flexibility! She was so knowledgeable and knew all the secrets of every place and also took us to the famous place for the Sintra “pillow pastry”! She took amazing pics of the family along the way and honestly we feel we became good friends with her after a wonderful day in Sintra. She was kind to drop us in Cascais at the end of the day so we can explore it on our own! Highly recommend this tour group and Suzanna! She gave us recs for Lisbon as well as Porto- our next stop! Truly a first class experience and encourage you to utilize this tour group!
Response from the operator: Dear Vandana, Thank you so much for your kind review. That's so good to know that you had enjoyed your tour with us. It was a pleasure having your family with us. Hope we have the chance to see you back. Kind regards, Margarida

THANK YOU VAN GO TOURISM
Our tour of Sintra with Van Go Tourism was unforgettable. Nuno noticed our reluctance to take photos and selfies so he would put out his hand and say, “Give me your phone”. He captured the most remarkable moment when we walked the wall of the Pena Palace as he made a video of us circling the wall then recording a panoramic view of the skyline. He was walking backwards while we gripped the wall moving forward! His photo-taking skills are spectacular! Nuno gave us the most memorable visit in photos and videos. Just when we thought he couldn’t give us more personalized attention, he went above and beyond once more. While visiting Quinta da Regaleira we were in queue with a group of boisterous young visitors. Knowing my husband had difficulty hearing with his new cochlear implant in that environment, Nuno politely asked the group to quiet down so my husband could hear everything Nuno was describing to us. Service and attention to detail doesn’t get better than that. Throughout the trip, he introduced us to the historic charm and rich history of the country, weaving everything we saw into a moment when we realized our visit to Portugal with Van Go Tourism was now at the top of our “favorites” list. We cannot say enough about how outstanding our experience was with Van Go Tourism. We HIGHLY recommend you visit Portugal not just for its beauty, charm and history but even more so to experience the superb quality of service offered by Van Go Tourism. Thank you Margarida and Nuno for being the very best in your business.
Response from the operator: Dear Dennis and Donna, The pleasure was all ours. It's so good to have the opportunity to show our beautiful country for you. It is even better when you leave us with that feeling that you spent amazing days in Portugal. THANK YOU so much! We want to see you back :) Kind regards, Margarida

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sintra Full-Day Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Sintra Full-Day Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sintra Full-Day Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Sintra Full-Day Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 125 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra Full-Day Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sintra Full-Day Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sintra Full-Day Private Tour?
+
Around 44 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sintra Full-Day Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
