Sintra with wine tasting
We are still smiling from our perfect day exploring Sintra and the surrounding areas. What began as a last-minute decision turned into the absolute highlight of our trip, all thanks to you. We feel we truly hit the jackpot with our guide, Jose. His fun, high-energy personality was infectious, and his vast knowledge of the area—plus his insights on so many other topics—made the journey as enlightening as it was enjoyable. He didn't just show us the sights; he brought the history, culture, and magic of Portugal to life. We cannot thank you enough for such a fantastic and memorable experience. It was more than we could have ever hoped.

Truly memorable experience
We had a lovely weekend in Lisbon and our day trip to Sintra including a wine tasting experience was absolutely the highlight. We booked with Lisbon on Wheels and the communication with Nuno was excellent from the outset. There was a minor problem with our Vineyard visit but this was dealt with brilliantly by Nuno and our guide, Jose. Jose was amazing, very enthusiastic and determined to make our tour special. Jose delivered a memorable day, full of interest and great fun too. The revised itinerary was perfect for us. We saw everything we wanted to see and more. We cannot recommend Jose and Lisbon on Wheels highly enough. Thank Jose and Nuno for a fantastic day

Perfect First Day of our Honeymoon!
Jose is an amazing human with massive knowledge of not just Lisbon, Sintra, and Portugal but an amazing understanding of the world! He was able to get us around the region quickly despite the heavy traffic from the huge amount of people going to the same places. He was also clearly well respected and knew all the people at our stops (locals touch)! The whole company is very professional and timely while also offering up options to choose from along the way. We had a blast on day 1 of our honeymoon because of Jose, 10/10 would recommend!!!

Winery and coastal experience
We were privileged to have Joese take us on our tour to Sintra. He is truly a professional and it shows in how he is treated by others. We were able to see beautiful places, enjoy the wine experience and enjoy his company as well. Highly recommend him.

Jose's Wine Tour!
Jose was incredible! We had an absolutely wonderful time with Jose! He is so knowledgeable and has so much information to share about the history of Portugal, the Portuguese territories and his own background. He's met some incredible people and clearly is in this industry because he loves sharing knowledge and experiences with people from all over. We have told everyone that is thinking about going to Portugal that they need to book with Jose! He also took time to know us and was able to customize on the fly to make a memorable experience for my husband to meet some other wine industry folks since he works in the industry. It was such a memorable experience and highly recommend Jose!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon?
+
Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Sintra Full Day Private Wine Experience with Tastings from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
