Perfect tour with fantastic guide
We had the most perfect full day tour of Sintra (Peña Palace and Regaleria) with our guide Nuno Gomes. We left Lisbon in rain, but as Nuno promised there was sunshine when we reached Sintra. Nuno was brilliant at parking, getting us through lines quickly and all the time imparting fun and interesting historical information. He constantly made sure we were absorbing information by giving us clues and testing whether we had remembered facts and details. We very much enjoyed this level of interaction and it was additionally fun when we couldn’t remember things and came up with creative answers. The pace was perfect, unhurried and allowing us to totally absorb the wonders of both places. We laughed a lot and I drove him crazy with a million questions…all jokes aside he was extremely patient and seemed to enjoy our enthusiasm. Nuno recommended a fabulous restaurant in Sintra, which had the best tapas….especially the anchovies, prawns and octopus and with the addition of some Douro wine, we had an good start to our afternoon tour of Quinta da Regaleria. That is one spooky place with the Initiation Well, and influence of the Knights Templar and Freemasons. The Pena Palace is the best place to go to in the morning, before huge lines and is romantic, artistic and calm. The numerous trees planted from different countries makes the walk to and from very special. Sintra itself is a very wealthy place with ex royalty still living there, families that followed and settled by royals plus new stars like Madonna whose son plays soccer for Portugal team. Finally, as an older but active couple we would very much recommend Nuno as the perfect person to take you on this magical tour. 15,000 steps later we were exhausted but totally satisfied with our day with him. Thanks Nuno for being the best guide.

Excellent experience
We had an amazing time Exploring Sintra and Cascais with our tour guide Filipe. He arrived on time picking us up from our hotel and took us to places we would never have known about and went above and beyond our expectations. Filipe was fantastic and the whole process of booking the tour from start to finish was easy and the communication was excellent both from the tour company to the guide.

Great time in Sintra with Alexandre!
Alexandre was amazing! He was very knowledgeable. Didn’t rush us. We had time to do and see all we wanted. We even managed to go to Monserrate which was not in our original plans. At his suggestion, we went and it did not disappoint! Took his time explaining history and background stories. Was patient when we wanted to stop for a quick photo op and even became our personal photographer! Excellent experience, will recommend to friends/family wanting to visit Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and Porto too as he was able to offer recommendations and suggestions in all places without fault! Very happy to have met Alexandre and to have had this experience!
