Great food tour especially if you like Tacos

The food and the tour guide were great. We loved all the different tacos we tried. Our guide was entertaining and very knowledgeable we really enjoyed everything we learned about the food history in this region. The only negative observation I can give is I wasn’t impressed with some of the neighbors we had to walk thru to get to some of the restaurants. Not the best scenery. With so many pretty streets and restaurant options in the art district it would have been more comfortable to walk around in that area. I will still highly recommend this food tour to friends visiting Can San Jose.

    Great option

Such a fun tour. There is a bit of walking but it is needed between the food stops. This is a great way to experience the city.

    Amazing experience

My husband and I have been on many food tours but I will tell you this is by far the best we've ever been on. We went with Arlin and Carla (orientee). I felt like we were hanging out with friends. They were both so knowledgeable and interesting! In addition, the food was incredible! I may never eat Mexican again in the US. We had a Chicken enchilada with mole sauce, freshly made tortillas, Fresca, Birria tacos, Al pastor tacos and fresh cantaloupe and then ice cream. I couldn't eat all of the food! You will not regret it if you book this tour.

Response from the operator: Hola Nancy! Thank you for your review and recommendation. I’m glad you had a good experience through local San Jose with Arlin and Carla. Best wishes :)

New friend and appreciation for Mexican cuisine

Wonderful experience. Arlin was our guide with the assist from Carla. We were greeted by them as soon as we arrived. The various food choices were excellent but Arlin’s easy conversation made us feel like friends. She is an asset. Please pass along our thanks to her. We were very happy and full at the end of the day😁

Response from the operator: Hola! Thank you for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed your tour with Arlin and Carla. Best wishes :)

San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $86 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 198 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour?

    +

Around 69 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does San Jose del Cabo Food and Market Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
