Cabo Pulmo Full Day Snorkel Adventure

This is an all day 8 hour tour -takes 2.5 hours from San Jose Dolphin Center to the Gear Tent, then 2-3 hours preparing to snorkel and boat trips to 3 sites , lunch for an hour and 2.5 hours back. Most of the road is paved until after Ribera then it is partially rocky and bumpy.

Trip should have been cancelled, very disappointed

Unfortunately, we had bad weather. The excursion should have been cancelled, as for a 10 hour day we got less than 1hour on the water and even then the water was really rough and murky and we didn't see much. There was a lot of travelling and waiting around, with communication really bad on what was going on. Our guide did not seem interested and did not support us even though a number of us were sick from the really rough water. The two upsides were our driver was lovely and the lunch was great. Very disappointed with day.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback We're truly sorry to hear that the weather conditions affected your experience and that the day did not meet your expectations. While guest safety is always our top priority and sea conditions can require adjustments to the itinerary, we understand how frustrating it is to spend so much time traveling and waiting, especially when communication is not as clear as it should be. We also regret that you did not feel adequately supported during the tour. We're grateful to know that our driver made a positive impression and that you enjoyed lunch. Your comments regarding communication, guest care, and the overall experience will be shared with the appropriate teams as we continue working to improve. Thank you again for your honest feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Rough waters, but whales still evident

Experiencing Cabo Pulmo is grand, but the ocean’s unpredictability was challenging. The currents at the sea lions shortened that stop over as they did at our initial stop at the coral reefs. May is a better month than March, although we did see whale activity quite near us.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you were able to enjoy Cabo Pulmo and even witness whale activity along the way, those moments are always special. We appreciate your understanding regarding ocean conditions. Currents can vary day by day and sometimes require adjustments to ensure everyone’s safety, even if that means shorter time at certain spots. Your insight about seasonal differences is also very valuable for future guests. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for another great experience

    Snorkeling trip

This is the most amazing snorkeling trip I have ever taken and I have been on many. Thousands of fish all different types. Schools of jacks, all the colorful reef fish, sea lions, turtles! Just amazing. It is a long ride (about 2 and half hours each way) but we knew that going in. Only reason it’s not a 5 is the tour was so unorganized. Once arriving , we waited nearly an hour to get in the water. Once back to shore the driver was not there and we had to walk back to the checkin point (about half mile) there was really no direction on what to do once the trip finished so it felt like you were wondering around. No underwater pictures from the trip but a few from the area.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly glad to hear the snorkeling itself stood out so much, encounters like that with such a variety of marine life really make the journey worthwhile. Waiting times and lack of clear direction at the end are not the impression we want to leave, and your feedback helps us identify where we can improve coordination and communication. Thank you again for your honest comments. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a smoother and equally amazing experience in the future.

Great snorkelling experience, a must do when you're in Cabo.

This was a great snorkeling tour. It was well worth it. We probably got a couple hours of actual snorkeling in (it takes a couple hours to get there from Cabo San Lucas) and then we had a great lunch at a local restaurant. The tour went smoothly from the pick up at the hotel to the return. Both our bus driver and our snorkelling guide and the captain of the boat were great. It was limited to just 8 people, so it was just our family with two other couples.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at Cabo Adventures! We are delighted to read you had a wonderful time with us. Our team takes service very seriously and it is highly gratifying to read we achieved our ultimate goal of providing an exceptional experience for you and your family. We certainly hope to welcome you back in the near future. Until next time!

Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas cost?

    +

Prices start at $279 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 139 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Around 49 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pulmo National Park Snorkel Expedition from Cabo San Lucas start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
