What you get
About this experience
It's a day trip to the Utiel-Requena wine region. Your guide is a sommelier specialised in Valencian wines, who will tell you about the history of wine in Valencia region, about the grape varieties, and a lot more! We’ll first go to the village of Requena, where we’ll visit some 9th century caves. These were used for storing grains, oil and wine; the old clay pots are still there. Here we’ll do a first wine tasting... Our next stop is an authentic 19th century winery, where we'll go into the vineyards, then through the winery, following the wine making process from "grape to bottle". We end with a tasting of some of their wines. For lunch we'll go to the village for a local lunch with more wine… For wheelchair users, or groups of 1-2 people or more than 8 people - we can do the tour - contact me directly! Up to 4 people: I use a small SUV MG ZS e-vehicle, comfortable for 4 normal-sized passengers. Let me know if you feel you need a larger vehicle (price will be different).

When dream comes true
I’ve always dreamed of crushing grapes with my feet, just like in The Taming of the Scoundrel with Adriano Celentano. During the tour, that dream came true — we picked the grapes straight from the vines, pressed them barefoot, and discovered the fascinating art and sounds of winemaking. The experience culminated in a delightful lunch and tasting of various wines, shared in wonderful company. A beautifully organized event and a perfect way to dive into the rich history of Spanish winemaking.
Response from the operator: Thanks for your nice review, Dariya Po, good to hear that you liked the Grape Harvest Tour! we had great weather, and as always a nice group, good food and great wines... It's a tour we do only once or twice per year, in the grape harvest season of course, in September / October. If anyone is interested in doing this tour, send me your email address and I'll let you know when we do the tour. See you in 2026!

Why this scores 82
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Valencia.
How much does Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip) cost?
+
Prices start at $195 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Valencia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip) take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Valencia is not rushed.
Is Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 121 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Valencia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip)?
+
Around 42 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Valencia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Valencia and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Wine Tour with Wine Tasting and Full Lunch (day trip) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Valencia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Valencia?
+
On Outty we rank every Valencia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Valencia Bike Tour from the City to the Beach, plus Bike Guy App!, Paella Cooking Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia, Real Paella Cooking Class – Market Visit & Sangría Workshop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Valencia?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Valencia?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
