1/2 day in Arusha- tanzanite and coffee
What an amazing experience provided by Pendaeli! Far surpassed any and all expectations we could have had. We had only booked a guide/driver for the Tanzinite experience and got an additional incredible experience of making our own coffee at the Baraka Coffee Farm. We would highly recommend Pendaeli for however long you have in Arusha!
Response from the operator: Dear Laura and Mark, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It truly means a lot to us to hear that your experience surpassed your expectations. We’re delighted that you enjoyed not only the Tanzanite experience but also the visit to Baraka Coffee Farm and the chance to make your own coffee. Your kind recommendation is greatly appreciated, and it was an absolute pleasure hosting you in Arusha. We hope to welcome you again in the future for even more memorable adventures. Warm regards, Pendaeli

A wonderful, friendly, charming way to learn all about Arusha
Ism an amateur photographer and I just finished spending 4 full days with Amos and his colleagues- we went to a private coffee plantation, a Cow Auction ( not to be missed) a fascinating market, a Masai village and of course, Arusha National Park. Through Amos’ knowledgeable perspective, and his friendly, welcoming demeanor, I learned so much ( and got some great photos) I brought 3 of my grandchildren back to spend a day with him and they too enjoyed their visit thoroughly. Amos supplied a driver and at every activity brought a different specialist friend along to provide even more local color. I have traveled to many countries, and never have I had such an engaging, interested and attentive guide. If you’re planning on visiting the Arusha region, do not hesitate- contact Amos!
Response from the operator: Dear Mr Michael Gerson, Thank you so much for your wonderful and thoughtful review. It truly means a lot to me and my team. It was an absolute pleasure spending those days with you exploring the beauty and culture of the Arusha region. I’m especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the experiences from the Baraka coffee plantation and vibrant local market to the cow auction, Maasai village, and time in Arusha National Park. Knowing that these moments also helped you capture great photos makes it even more special. It was equally a joy to meet your grandchildren and spend time with them. We are so glad they had a memorable visit as well. Thank you for your kind words about our team. We always aim to create meaningful, authentic experiences by involving local specialists, and it’s wonderful to know this made your journey even richer. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you and your family back to Tanzania again in the future. Best regards, Amos

Great tour and tour guides!
Destination Specialists is the perfect solution whether looking to book a multi day trek across Central Africa or to solve for a long layover in Arusha (like me). They picked me up from JRO airport, accommodating flight delays, and took me on an amazing 8 hour game drive thru Arusha National Park, before dropping me and my bags back at the airport. They took care of me from start to finish. Fun and educational. Don’t hesitate to book with Pendaeli, Amos, team!
Response from the operator: Dear Brother Jason, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Destination Specialists. We are truly delighted to hear that your experience with us especially your time in Arusha National Park was enjoyable, seamless, and memorable, even within a short layover. It means a lot to know that you felt well taken care of from arrival to departure, and that the game drive was both fun and educational. Your kind words about our team are highly appreciated and will certainly motivate us to continue delivering exceptional service to all our guests. We hope to welcome you again in the future for a longer adventure in Tanzania! Best regards, Pendaeli Amos

Tarangine adventures
We actually did Arusha National park, Tarangine, Ngorongoro crater, and Manyara lake. Our guide Isaac was extremely knowledgeable and fun to be with. His eagle eyes allowed us to spot tons of animals. His expertise with birds, trees, and plants was also impressive. Highly recommend

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park cost?
+
Prices start at $812 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Guided Day Trip in Tarangire National Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
