Perfect solo pre-safari day in Arusha
I’m a solo traveler and had a free day in Arusha before my safari. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions of my trip. It’s a relaxed, well-paced half-day that gives you a real feel for the city without being exhausting. Pickup was on time, and our guide was friendly and easy to talk to. I never felt awkward or rushed. He made sure I was included and answered all my questions. We started at the Clock Tower for a quick photo and orientation, then went to the Tanzanite Experience. I’m not a big jewelry person, but the museum was genuinely interesting. The replica mineshaft and cutting/polishing exhibits were impressive. The Maasai Market was colorful and lively, with beaded jewelry, textiles, and carvings. Bargaining is expected, and I got a few nice pieces without overpaying. The Central Market was the most busy stop full of spices, produce, and local traders. We finished at the Cultural Heritage Centre, which was calm and beautiful. Great sculptures, tribal art, and higher-end souvenirs.

A morning strolling around Arusha
This activity is also highly recommended! After the beautiful experience among the coffee plantations and the waterfalls, we agreed with Praylord to spend the last half day in Arusha with a city tour, and it was a perfect choice to end on a high note. Praylord guided us to discover Arusha, telling us the history of the city's evolution. The tour was a complete immersion in the history, culture, and local daily life, experienced at the right pace and without ever giving us that feeling of being rushed. Moving through the city streets, we passed by the Clock Tower, visited the very colorful local market, and made a super interesting stop at the Tanzanite Experience to discover the history of this precious stone unique to Tanzania. In the end, we visited the Cultural Heritage Centre before going to lunch at a small local restaurant. On this occasion too, Praylord proved to be a fantastic guide, attentive and helpful, capable of recounting every detail with passion and always making us feel at ease. We highly recommend this tour with him!
