The first ascent to Mt, Meru was Fritz Jäger in 1904 before the last eruption. And it is located 70km west of Mt.Kilimanjaro. You can have spectacular view from each 2 mountains when it clear sky. Also it is ninth or tenth highest Mt, in Africa, died volcano. The fertile land slopes rise above surrounding Savanna grassland support forest that hosts Wildlife, such as Elephants, Birds, Buffaloes and manks.Now it under Arusha National park.
