Absolutely amazing! You must go!
Everything about this experience was nothing short of amazing. Our guides Nang Nang and Randy were phenomenal. They went at our pace and made sure to ask what we wanted to see and do and made sure we got to see everything. We saw so many orangutans and many other monkeys and we even got to see hornbills! We had so much good food and way more than we could ever eat. Bang Bang was an excellent cook. Everyone was thoughtful and made sure we were taken care of and had a great time. 100% would recommend!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind review! We’re very happy to hear you had such a great experience with us. Nang Nang, Randy, and Bang Bang will be pleased to know you enjoyed the trip, the wildlife, and the food. It was our pleasure to take care of you and help make your adventure memorable. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back someday!

Life time experience trekking and seeing wildlife!
I'm a solo traveler from the States. This was a wonderful experience trekking in the jungle! It was definitely harder than I was expecting even after reading other reviews. Saw mom and baby orangutan, several different kinds of monkey. The guides were amazing and the customer service is excellent. The food was delicious and the accommodation at camp was comfortable. And you have to do the rafting, it was so fun! I was well taken care of, highly recommend Monkey Business as a tour company!

Magic jungle trekk!
Really good experience with nice guides. We saw orangutangs on multiple occations. Nang Nang and Dedy made our trip really great with a lot off laughter. We got spoiled with great food and fruit. It was tough and sweaty but a great experience with fantastic magic tricks and hard riddles! Nora, Christine and Micael🤘

Very nice experience
Just returned from a fantastic trekking experience. Bimboo and Riski lead us safely along the tracks. It was going up and down quite a bit and will get quite tiered. But there the stops with nicely arranged fresh fruit allowed to recover. Once arrived at the camp where Sukri already prepared our accommodation and nice Indonesien food, we could relax and cool down in the clear water of the river.

Pinch me! This was the most amazing trip ever
This was the most amazing once in a lifetime experience! We saw SO much on this trip, it far exceeded our expectations we saw orangutans within 20 minutes of the first day! There weren’t many groups out and sometimes we even saw the orangutans alone with no other groups. As a group of vegetarians we were worried about the food but we got a huge variety of meals, including tofu, tempeh, curry, fruit and sweet treats. The guides were helpful, followed our pace and cared for us, going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They were very positive and had great jokes and tricks. Nang Nang, eka, Darhma and Bang bang were a dream team! The organiser geo was also fantastic and made sure we knew all we needed about our trip assuring us of all details.

Why this scores 95
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Medan.
How much does Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting) cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Medan usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting) take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Medan is not rushed.
Is Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 95 out of 100, which we label "Peak Performance". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 303 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Medan, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting) suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting)?
+
Around 106 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Medan can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Medan and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Monkey Business 3 days - 2 nights Jungle trekking (including rafting) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Medan within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Medan?
+
On Outty we rank every Medan experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 3-Day Ethical Orangutan Jungle Trek | Bukit Lawang, Sumatra, 2 Days and 1 Night Ethical Jungle Trek, 2 Days 1 Night Ethical Jungle Trekking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Medan?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Medan?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
