Incredible 2 day trek!
This experience was incredible from start to finish. We saw 14 orangutans!! Nazir was such a knowledgeable and friendly guide and was happy to tailor it to what we wanted. Our second guide, Ajzar (sorry I don’t know how to spell his name), we also very good and worked really hard to try and find as many orangutans as possible. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone ❤️

2D1N Tour
We had the most amazing time on our 2D1N tour through the jungle in bukit lawang. We booked through whatsapp and the team were very useful and had quick replies, they also arranged our airport pickup for an added fee that went very smoothly. They also made sure we arrived at our hotel to stay the night before safely and gave us recommendations of where to eat and drink. The tour itself was very informative especially of all the trees and plants surrounding us thanks to our amazing guide sam! The trekking was more challenging than expected with very steep inclines however our other guide broccoli always made sure the vibes were still high! We were able to see 2 young females, and 2 mothers with their babies aswell as a few gibbons all of which were unforgettable The food was amazing aswell we got nasi goreng for lunch and had a feast for supper with some of the best indonesian food i've had all trip! To end it all the Jungle Taxi back was amazing and a very thrilling ride! Massive thank you to Sam, Broccoli and Mama Jungle for making our time unforgettable ❤️🥦🦧

Fabulous from start to finish
We have done a lot of wildlife tours but this one was the best we’ve ever done. From the communication by Didek in the office, to the guides, to Bukit Lawang, to the wildlife- everything was superb and I can’t recommend highly enough. Our guide Bremma was amazing. Excellent English, friendly and knowledgeable. We got to see so many orangutans- the big alpha male, mummy’s and babies but also green vipers, white handed gibbon and Thomas leaf monkeys- all because of his expertise. He and Adit(assistant guide- so friendly and protective) always got us in the right places. The food was superb with so much care and attention- especially the fruit platter. We swam twice in the river by the campsite, then they took us to a great waterfall swimming spot and lastly tubing down the fast flowing river was the icing on the cake. If you are into wildlife trekking you have to go to Bukit Lawang and use this company- you will not be disappointed.

This is the best experience ever! I highly recommend everyone who comes to Butik Lawang book the trekking with this company. Everything is really smooth and the operator absolutely provided the best services! I had some hard time in the jungle and my guides, Karan and Rizky, did the wonderful job helping me! Food poisoning
We liked the camping close to the river but the trekking itself was nothing special if you have done Jungle trekking before. We saw on the first day a few Orang-Utans and other Monkeys but jothing on the second day. I would not recommend to go longer than 2 days. Moreover, me and my partner ended up having food poisoning from the food on the tour as soon as we came back to our hotel on the second day. We threw up the whole night and had high fever. Another member of our group was also sick from the tour. I do not recommend to book with Sumatra Orangutan Trekking. They need to improve their hygenic standards!
