Nice change of pace

We booked this excursion without lunch and without the bridge option, and overall, we had a positive experience. Our driver, Sergio, picked us up on time at the agreed meeting point and was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout the entire ride. Already on the way to the hiking starting point, we picked up the additional hiking guide. The vehicle also contained another couple and a lady who had booked the bridge viewing option. Since we did not want to wait for this group to finish their additional activity, we decided to undertake the hike on our own and at our own pace. That worked well for us and was possible without any issues. On the way back, we made a stop in Arouca, where we had about 1 hour and 20 minutes of free time. Meanwhile, the other group was having their booked lunch. One should generally expect that other participants have booked additional options such as bridge viewing or lunch, which may lead to waiting times during this tour. Since we had prepared for this in advance based on other reviews, it was fine for us. We cannot comment on the hiking guide, as we did not utilize his company. However, particularly noteworthy is our driver, Sergio, who was always friendly and attentive. He would have actively assisted us in booking additional options such as the bridge viewing or lunch, which we did not take advantage of. Overall, it was a well-organized excursion with a very pleasant driver and flexible options for the tour.

Amazing Arouca Trip with an Incredible Team

What an incredible Arouca trip! Everything was perfectly organized and the experience was unforgettable. A huge thank you to Sergio — even with the language barrier, he managed to communicate everything perfectly and made us feel comfortable and safe throughout the trip. Special thanks as well to Rebecca, who was so lovely and explained everything in detail. It truly felt like a private tour because of the attention and care she gave us. And of course, thank you to Jason, Liza, and her husband for the cheerful company — you made the experience even more special and fun! It was an amazing day, and next time I’m in Porto, I will definitely do it again. I highly recommend this trip to everyone!

Lovely peaceful day

Sergio was absolutely amazing! Pick up and drop off right at my hotel, he made my experience so memorable and lovely. It was a small tour group of about 6 people and it was so lovely. Our guide Christina went at a great pace, not too slow and not too fast. She was so knowledgeable and I really enjoyed her humor. After the hike Sergio took us to this lovely restaurant for lunch since I booked the package with lunch and then bought me and 2 of French ladies in our group wine for only 10 euros so I got an amazing Porto red wine for only 3,50 euro. It was just a great experience. I initially did not book the bridge but the guide let me pay after for an additional charge with dessert included so I could go over the suspension bridge. I would highly, highly recommend this tour if you are solo or even with a couple for a lovely day. We even got some cute pictures. 😍 highly recommend this.

100% recommended!

We had a wonderful day! Both our drivers (Sergio and Nelson) were friendly and very attentive. Cars were clean and comfortable, food was quickly provided and also was delicious. The views at the walk were super great! We didn't go to the bridge, cause we're a bit afraid of the high, but the view points along the road actually give the same beauty experience. Recommended 100%! Also, since we were in April, the full path was almost empty, we met ~15 people during 8km walk, so we're really enjoying the time together. Our advise: bring sun screen or anyhow protect the head and skin from the sun, and also a swimming suite. When the water is warmer it should be a pleasure to swim. Also we walked veeery slow and it took us a bit more than 3 hours, so if you go with a normal speed, 3 hours should be good. Muito obrigada!

I don't not recommend this tour.

Horrible experience.Paulo let us wait for the returnin bus to Porto, for more than 5 hours , after finishing the Paiva walkaway.He rudely told us to take a cab if we didn't like it. So, we don't recommend this tour.Better take a taxi from the beginning and avoiding a ruined vacation day. Christina, USA

I remind you that you purchased a shared Tour and that the return is done together. Due to his demand made with an authoritarian and rude attitude, we had no other option than to suggest that he proceed with his return by his own means. I suggest you Google the definition of "Shared Tour"
