    Never got the ticket

Never got the ticket. Disappointed because it did not appear in the email or the app. They would not let us in

Response from the operator: Dear Diana, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we are truly sorry to hear about your experience. We sincerely apologize that you did not receive your ticket and were therefore unable to enter Livraria Lello. We completely understand how disappointing this must have been, especially after making the booking and arriving at the venue expecting everything to be ready. Tickets should be delivered correctly and in time for guests to access the experience, and we regret that this did not happen in your case. We take this type of issue very seriously and are reviewing the ticket delivery and communication process to help prevent similar situations in the future. We would appreciate the opportunity to look into your booking and understand exactly what happened. If you have not already done so, please contact us directly with your booking details so our team can investigate the case and assist you further. We sincerely regret the inconvenience and disappointment caused. Warm regards, Luka Destinations

Boring! Avoid unless you’ve got nothing else to do!

Most boring experience ever. Definitely overrated. There were eight of us and none of us recommend it.

Response from the operator: Dear Claire, Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your visit to Livraria Lello did not meet your expectations and that the experience felt disappointing for your group. We understand that attractions can appeal very differently to different visitors, and we respect your perspective. While many guests are drawn to the bookstore’s architecture, history, and unique atmosphere, we recognize that it may not be an experience everyone finds engaging or worthwhile. We appreciate you sharing your opinion, as honest feedback helps us better understand our guests’ expectations and continue improving the overall experience. Thank you again for visiting, and we hope you enjoyed other experiences during your time in Porto. Warm regards, Luka Destinations

queuing in the heat for a book store - totally worth it!

It seemed odd to be queuing in the heat in two very long queues to get into Lello Bookstore having booked in advance. But the experience was totally worth it, it's just a unique place. From a creative person's perspective, the bespoke cover designs of all the Lello editions were just beautiful, the staff are super helpful, and getting your ticket price back on a book price makes it feel like good value - no regrets, we loved it!

Response from the operator: Dear Ali, Thank you very much for your wonderful and thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that, despite the queues and the heat, your visit to Livraria Lello was ultimately well worth it. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the unique atmosphere of the bookstore, especially the beautiful bespoke cover designs of the Lello editions. We’re also very happy to hear that our staff were helpful and that you enjoyed the added value of being able to use the ticket amount toward a book purchase. It’s great to know that you left with no regrets and such positive memories of the experience! Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation. We hope to welcome you again in Porto in the future! Warm regards, Luka Destinations

Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.

How much does Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide cost?

    +

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.

Is Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 47 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Lello Bookshop Ticket with Self-Guided Tour & Local Food Guide start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Porto?

    +

On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Porto?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Porto?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
