Great trip, excellent value for money too!
Fantastic tour! Our Guide Ruta and driver Miranda were fab! Tour was very well organised, our minibus had around 28 passengers and I was a little worried it wouldn’t be as good as a previous trip I have taken to Douro with a much smaller group but it was perfect!! the size of the group didn’t affect our tour at all!! We met some really lovely people! All of our stops were great, our stop for lunch was beautiful, food very tasty and endless flow of wine should you want it! Highly recommended and absolutely amazing value for money!!

Duoro wine and port tasting
Fun guide Rute and driver Miranda and the music to match. The first winery was a delight, the route was informative and the three drinks were delicious. The boat trip was nice. I thought it couldn't get any better when we went for a late lunch (thankfully we had a stop to purchase snacks on the way or to Duoro. The lunch was in an amazing setting. We went to the kitchen to see what we were getting cooked and the three chose music was delicious and staff five stars. I didn't want to leave. We had 30 mins stop in Amarante. It was lovely but we could have surgery missed out or have longer there. Great tour. I would definitely recommend.

Duoro Valley Vineyard tour and boat ride
Travelled with a family of 15. Pick up point was clear and easy to find. The trip was excellent. Our tour guide was Rute and Driver was Miranda. Rute was excellent - great energy throughout, really accommodated us. We did the Duoro valley vineyard and boat tour. We weren’t rushed and felt like we took it all in. Would definitely book again!

Just do it!
We had such a lovely experience with our guide Rute and driver Miranda (...I mean Riccardo 🤭). We saw all the beautiful landscapes and visited the Kopke winery where we got a very informative tour and could taste the wines. The boat trip showed is more of the beautiful views. My personal highlight was the authentically prepared lunch (above fire!), where we got to taste 4 more wines. We had a great time and a great laugh. Would recommend!

Do this trip if you’re in Porto.
Great day out, very informative and interesting. I drank maybe a bit too much wine/port but the coach was comfortable 😂. Spectacular countryside from start to finish. Definitely do this! Root the guide and Miranda the driver were amazing and worked very well together.

Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 93 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18,753 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise?
+
Around 6,564 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Complete Douro Valley Wine Tour with Lunch, Wine Tastings and River Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
