Fantastic tour for a day!
The pick-up was a meeting point that was easy to get with. Our tour guide (Tina) had a lot of good information. The selection of wineries was good as well as we did one that was more corporate and then one family smaller winery. Great experience and would highly recommend!

The Douro Valley wine...
The Douro Valley wine tour was absolutely incredible! Our tour guide, Pedro, was extremely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. We shared plenty of laughs and truly appreciated his warmth and hospitality throughout the day. Our driver, João, was equally wonderful—friendly, professional, an excellent driver, and so much fun to be around! Pedro and João are two exceptional individuals who represent your company so well. They made our day truly memorable, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you both for an unforgettable tour!

Douro’s Delights
Pedro and Joao guided a splendid tour for 12 hours from Porto, through four locations, including two wineries, one boat trip, one enjoyable lunch and a tasting of ten or so local wines. The tour was well-conducted, knowledgeable and impressively driven. Thoroughly recommended.

Spectacular Douro Valley Tour
The Douro Valley tour is without a doubt an experience not to be missed in Portugal. Our tour was a delight not only for the experience, but especially for João, our tour guide. Young, friendly and very knowledgeable, he made our winery visits and lunch great with his explanations in flawless English. The River boat trip is a thrill as you view spectacular port wine country and savor varietals of port. Highly recommend!

A memorable experience
Our guide Pedro and driver Joāo make a wonderful pair to experience the Duro Valley. We enjoyed every second. Pedro is fun, personable and knowledgeable. He worked in Duro Valley and knows where to go. We started early and right on time. Our first stop was the town of Amarante and then headed over to two tastings and a boat ride in the river. The guide from the river boat was the most amazing wine connoisseur relating wine to people!! Thank you Pedro & Joāo for sharing your passion for your country! The most memorable experience ever. Highly recommended!

Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Porto.
How much does Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise cost?
+
Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Porto usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Porto is not rushed.
Is Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 93 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 5,488 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Porto, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise?
+
Around 1,921 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Porto can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Porto and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Douro Valley Small Group Tour: 2 Wineries, Lunch & River Cruise start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Porto within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Porto?
+
On Outty we rank every Porto experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Unvanquished Tour in Porto City Center, Porto's #1 Walking Tour, Small Group Geres National Park Full Day with picnic from Porto. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Porto?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Porto?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
