Excellent Organization and Support
Africa Joy Tours organized our 8-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho trek last August, and I could not be happier. Everything was smooth, from airport pickup to summit day. The daily itinerary was well-paced, allowing us to rest and adjust to altitude. Our guide always motivated us, and the porters were incredible, carrying heavy loads yet keeping smiles. The meals were hot and tasty, which felt amazing after long hikes. The Lemosho Route is breathtaking, and Africa Joy Tours made it even more special.

Unforgettable experience climbing the world’s tallest free standing mountain!
My partner and I did the Mt Kilimanjaro 7-day Lemosho route with our 2 guides - Emmanuel and Frankie - we couldn't have asked for better guides! From start to finish, their professionalism, knowledge, and passion for the mountain were evident. They made sure we were well-prepared at the start of each day, ensuring safety and comfort at every step. Their expertise in handling altitude challenges, weather conditions, and pacing was impressive. They were also incredibly warm and friendly, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and motivation. Each day, they shared fascinating insights about the mountain's history, wildlife, and ecosystems, enriching our experience even more. Thanks to their guidance, we felt confident and inspired as we reached the summit. Huge shoutout to the crew of porters and chef as well - they are the heroes who make the summit possible for us. Nothing but respect and admiration for them. It was truly an unforgettable adventure, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to conquer Mt Kilimanjaro!

Fantastic Local Company!!
My wife and I wanted to climb Kili as a celebration of our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary and Africa Joy tours was recommended to us by a friend who climbed Kilimanjaro about a year ago. Clinton and his team met or exceeded all our expectations. Organizing with Clinton by email couldn't have been easier. He was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. When we arrived at the airport at 2:30 in the morning, Clinton and his driver were there with smiles on their faces ready to take us to our hotel in Moshi. The Park View Hotel was very comfortable and served as our home base before and after the climb. Clinton was very flexible and helped us coordinate a visit to a local children's home that we wanted to visit as well. The Africa joy tours guides and crew were exceptional. Jackson, our lead guide, spoke english very well and were the most personable and friendly hosts on the mountain that we could have ever imagined. We set out to do an 8 day trek on the Lemosho route. After a couple days when our guides were able to assess our fitness level and our tolerance for the elevation, we quickly determined that we could do the route in 6 days. Jackson radioed down to George and were easily able to adjust our plan. We successfully reached the summit just as the sun burst over the horizon and poured its glorious warmth and light over us and our celebration. What a thrill! The safari that Clinton organized for us to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was a welcome reward after six days on the mountain. The wildlife was incredible... everything that we'd heard about. Thank you so much to Clinton and his team for providing us with a life changing experience as we accomplished one of our life's dreams.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the best recommendation we are happy to hear that you did it to the roof of Africa with the best team from our company Also for the good safari that made your dreams comes true from the best organization from Clinton Cheers

8 Day Lemosho Route with Africa joys tours
I climbed Africa joy tours in October 2020. I had communicated with 15+ Kili operators over six months before contacting Clinton. My criteria was: 1) To support a local operator directly (instead of going through an agent who would take a cut) 2) To find an operator who would provide daily health checks, carry bottled oxygen, a phone for emergency communication, and a portable toilet 3) A competitive rate (not the lowest) 4) Someone I could trust to organize the climb for me As a highly-detailed trip planner, I felt comfortable communicating with Clinton. He responded to my questions patiently and promptly without pressuring me to sign up with him. Most importantly, Clinton delivered everything we agreed on. He personally welcomed us when we arrived and provided us with a dedicated, professional team to take care of us on the mountain. Good equipment, good food. Our guides Gabriel and Priscus were attentive to our needs, comfort and safety (particularly when we exhibited signs of altitude sickness). I had difficulty breathing on the way down from the summit and am grateful to the team for their care. Gabriel carried me on his back for part of the way, then supported me till I made it back to camp. I highly recommend Africa joys tours and am happy to answer more detailed questions if you are considering the climb. Thanks Clinton, Gabriel and Priscus for the adventure!
Response from the operator: Dear guest, We highly appreciate your great recommendation of our company from the trip you had with us. It was a great pleasure to host you during your trip and we are glad that you had an awesome experience. Thank you for choosing us and welcome back!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary cost?
+
Prices start at $2700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary take?
+
Plan for about 240 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 240-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 240-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kilimanjaro-lemosho Route 8 Days Itinerary start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
