    One not to miss !!!!

It was a fabulous day very informative and Amanda was a terrific guide - she was so knowledgeable but added warmth and fun to the day and made the experience a whole lot richer . She sent us plenty of extra information about the place and the links to it for the Game of Thrones series. Thoroughly would recommend the Daytrip and Amanda.

    Excellent day trip!

Excellent day trip! The trip is well paced with plenty of tome to see the castle and then explore the old town, have lunch and a quick swim in the Mediterranean. Our group had two guides, Amanda, who was the main tour guide and Victor who drove the other van. Both were helpful and friendly and made the day more memorable. Amanda clearly loves history and provided lots of information about the castle, its historical importance and how it was featured in Game of Thrones. She also had great recommendations for lunch and exploring. I’m very glad we booked this tour!

    A must do!

This was an absolutely phenomenal experience. I had booked a Peniscola day trip via another company, months in advance. The day before the excursion, the other company canceled because it apparently didn’t have enough takers to operate the tour, so they said. So, my friend and I booked this tour at the last minute…less than 24 hours ahead of time, and I’m so glad we did. First of all, it is a small tour. There were 10 people total. Small tours make all the difference and, frankly, are worth paying a bit more. The guide Amanda and the other driver Vicktor were both incredibly personable. The tour was good and educational, and there was enough time after viewing the antiquities to explore the old town, have lunch, and take a quick dip in the Mediterranean. Admittedly, I never tire of walking around Europe’s old towns. Peniscola does not disappoint. …and this trip is a bonus for those who lived Game of Thrones.

That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Valencia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Valencia and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

On Outty we rank every Valencia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Valencia Bike Tour from the City to the Beach, plus Bike Guy App!, Paella Cooking Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia, Real Paella Cooking Class – Market Visit & Sangría Workshop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Valencia?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Valencia?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
