About this experience

Visit the lap of the world’s highest peak – Mount Everest (8848 meters/29,029 feet) – on this epic Himalayan adventure. The Everest region has been revered as somewhat of a mythical place since Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary summited the peak in 1953 – and rightfully so. The landscape of the Everest region is truly unique, unlike anywhere else in the world. Walk on the rooftop of the world, alongside glaciers, yaks, and the lovely local Sherpa people. Receiving blessings from Tengboche and other monasteries, our energy is high and we traverse deeper into the mountains. Several more unforgettable days of trekking leads us to the famous Everest Base Camp (5364 meters/17,598). The following day, we visit Kala Patthar (5545 meters/18,192 feet). Kala Patthar offers a heart-stopping view of Mount Everest and the Khumbu Icefall.

An Absolutely Flawless Experience — Breeze Adventure Delivered Beyond Expectations

If you're considering trekking to Everest Base Camp and are looking for a company you can trust completely, look no further. Breeze Adventure turned what could have been an overwhelming, grueling expedition into one of the most extraordinary experiences of our lives — and we say this without a single reservation. We completed the 9-day EBC trek with helicopter return, and from the very first moment we arrived in Kathmandu, everything was handled with impeccable care. The welcome was warm, organized, and genuinely personal — not the generic, transactional reception you might expect from a trekking company. You immediately feel that these people care about your experience, not just your booking. Kishwor, the founder and owner of Breeze Adventure, is something special. He is one of the friendliest, most approachable people you will ever meet in the travel world. What truly sets him apart, however, is his extraordinary flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond for his clients. No request was too much, no concern was brushed aside. He was genuinely invested in our well-being and our success on the trail — and it showed every single day. Our guide was equally outstanding — knowledgeable, patient, attentive, and the kind of person whose presence makes a hard day feel manageable and a great day feel unforgettable. The pacing, the logistics, the communication — everything was spot on. Over nine days, trekking through Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and all the way up to Base Camp at 5,364m and Kala Patthar at 5,545m, not a single thing went wrong. Every detail — accommodation, meals, permits, safety protocols — was perfectly organized. The helicopter return from Gorakshep was the cherry on top of an already perfect journey. You can book Breeze Adventure with your eyes closed. This is a company that operates with integrity, passion, and genuine human warmth. If trekking to Everest Base Camp is on your bucket list, stop searching and book with Kishwor and his team. You will not just reach Base Camp — you will have one of the best experiences of your entire life. Highly, unconditionally recommended. 🏔️

Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days cost?

+

Prices start at $1775 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days take?

+

Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 312-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Everest Base Camp Trek - 12 days start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
