First-rate bespoke service by family-run business, for safari and more!

I cannot write enough praise for Brown Parrot Safaris. Family-run business by Amani and Doris provide a bespoke, professional, highly personable and competent service for your trip in Tanzania. We were a small NGO needing special transport needs and Amani was our tour organiser, guide and drive around Arusha, the Maasai districts and then for a week's safari in Taranguire, Ngorongoro and the Seregeti. His knowledge of birds, animals and flora is excellent, being Maasai himself he provided great insights into this fascinating tribe, he is a charming group member and got us from place to place safely and seamlessly. Please do not hesitate in reaching out to plan your individual travel desires! We will come back again soon!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much Suzy for your amazing review! 🌟 We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your safari with us and that Amani could make your trip safe, seamless, and full of insight. It was a pleasure to host your group and share the beauty of Tanzania, from the wildlife to the Maasai culture. Your kind words mean a lot to our family-run team, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for another adventure soon! 🦒🦅 Best regards Doris

Amani, owner of Brown Partot, is an amazing guide

Amani, the owner of Brown Parrot, is a fantastic guide. He has a charming personality, super broad knowledge about nature and culture (having Masai background himself) and is a very experienced and careful driver. He was able to show us an abundance of animals including the big 5 and could direct us almost any animal we desired to see, including cheetas and the brown parrot.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much Alex for your kind words! 🌟 We’re thrilled that you enjoyed your safari and that Amani could share his knowledge of wildlife, Maasai culture, and nature with you. It’s wonderful to hear you saw so many animals, including the Big Five, cheetahs, and even the brown parrot! We hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable adventure in Tanzania. 🦁🦒🦜 Best regards Doris

Wonderful trip!

Our family was on a 4 day safari and our super guide Ali. We had fantastic days in the parks Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Ali was a cool guy and knew a lot about the animals and parks. The best place was the Serengeti. I can highly recommend this Brown Parrot Safari. Doris is absolutely fantastic who has helped with the trip regarding booking, questions etc. She is always nice, clear and responds quickly. MVH Lotta

Response from the operator: Thank you very much Lotta for sharing your experience! 🌿 indeed you had an incredible 4-day adventure through Tarangire National Park Serengeti National Park"], and the Ngorongoro Crater. Looking forward to seeing you again in the near future! Best regards Doris

A trip above and beyond our expectations!

We went on a safari for 5 days with our guide Amani and this trip went above and beyond our expectations!! If you are considering going on a safari you must book with Brown Parrot Safaris. We appreciated that they were a smaller company with local knowledge. Everything went very smooth from the beginning to the end. Doris really helped us out with all the planning and answered all our questions before coming. Then Amani took really good care of us during the safari. Amani was very kind and taught us everything about the animals, the national parks and the culture. We were amazed by his knowledge! And he made us feel very safe during the whole trip. It was very nice to have Amani and the jeep for ourselves. We choose to visit Tarangire National Park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. We were amazed by all the animals we got to see! We saw all of the big five! We really enjoyed all our lodges that we stayed in as well, especially the accommodation that was in the middle of Serengeti where you could hear the animals during the night! An extraordinary experience! We can’t recommend them enough! We even have friends that have gone with them after our recommendations. Love /Monika & Albin

Response from the operator: Hello Monika and Albin. Thank you very much for your review, we are very happy to receive such a feedback from you. We will continue to provide the best service that surpasses all expectations. You and your friends are most welcome!

East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania cost?

+

Prices start at $2146 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania take?

+

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 96-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does East Africa Safari Adventure in Tanzania start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
