So so
Super disappointed with the guide of yesterday’s tour. He seemed very disinterested, was sleeping all the way there and back, and just left us at places, to go to chat. He hardly provided any information about the places, maybe a little at the beginning. We also drove for over 3h with refusing to stop for a toilet break. Also the bus was super small, with no space for legs, I had to ask twice before I could go sit in the first row of sears where there was more space. Super disappointed over the guide.

Was sub par
Trip was just ok. The tour guide was friendly but I chose an English speaking tour and there was very little translation. The entire pink salt ponds (not sea) was mediocre, yes they are pink but you could not get close for pictures and the entire tour was about 45min and zero English translation. Also was just very long drive that I was not expecting. Would not go again.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon Thanks for your review, it helps us to improve our service. We so sorry to heard from you you this kind of review. Thank you so much to took our service

Really recommended, but the transportation should be improved
The pink lagoon and the Rio Lagartos are amazing. Really recommended, as well as the lunch. The crocodile farm is nice but I felt sorry for the small crocodiles that were moved from hands to hands to take pictures with the tourists. I didn’t like the bus transportation, the bus was really small and there was not enough space for the legs between the seats. The travel is about 3 hours and the same for the return, so having to stay in such a small bus is really tough. The guide provided only 1 small bottle of water for the full day, they should give an additional one for each passenger.
Response from the operator: Good afternoon Thanks for your review, it help us to improve the service. We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with us Best regards

Not what we hoped for.
Didn't get what we paid for, but the tour was ok. If I knew what I know now after having done the tour I would not book again.

Why this scores 55
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya cost?
+
Prices start at $2900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 35 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya?
+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Coloradas Pink Lagoon Adventure from Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
