Most flavorful food ever!
This was such an amazing experience. Chef Lorena was not only very knowledgeable about the foods we picked and why we did different things in the recipe but was also extremely friendly. We had a great experience and a top notch meal that used fresh ingredients and we could replicate back at home. Can't speak highly enough about this experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you! We’re so glad Lorena made the class knowledgeable, friendly, and delicious 🌮 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta

Loved Lorenas Cooking Class!!!
Loved Lorenas Cooking class. It was her personality that was so exciting. She gave us lots of tips where and what to buy. We tried two drinks and appetizers / a main. She answered not just cooking questions but rather about culture and everything we wanted to know. I felt i could have just kept having another drink with her and keep talking like with a really good friend. The apartment was very nice and stylish. Kitchen was equipped well with an kitchen island so we could see all what was going on and what to do and fit in / around fine. There were a Canadian couple there as well and so it was just refreshing to get in touch with other cultures and chatting. I was traveling solo and I would not want to miss it - I felt not excluded at all or weired. On top of that we got to meet her house cat and turtle 🐢 😍 I would recommend it - it feels like a family get together. She ist just an amazing person and again it was just so lovely.
Response from the operator: What a wonderful review, thank you. Lorena will be thrilled you felt like family and enjoyed the food, conversations, and even the pets 🐢 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta

Making a new friend over food
Lorena is an extremely welcoming host. You will feel at ease the moment you arrive. We learned about the simple but flavorful ingredients of a few of her childhood meals. We talked about life and food and travel. Such a great way to learn and feel connected to a new place.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much. We are delighted Lorena made you feel so welcome and that the experience felt personal, relaxed, and connected to local life 😊 Cheers, Maira from Cook in Fiesta

10/10 cooking experience
Overall great experience! Lorena was very nice, she was very patient and happy to teach us. We learned a lot about Mexican culture, music, and food. And of course, the food was AMAZING! Very different from back home. The quesadillas with calabacitas were the best! She also told us where we can get ingredients gave us tips on how to make the meal when we return home. Overall 10/10, will definitely come back next time in PDC.
Response from the operator: Liliana has a way of making everything feel easy and welcoming, so it’s great to hear that came through. And those flavors definitely stay with you. 🌮 Cheers! Maira from Cook in Fiesta

Is Cooking Class in Playa del Carmen: 9 Recipes & Bottomless Drinks worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cooking Class in Playa del Carmen: 9 Recipes & Bottomless Drinks?
+

Is Cooking Class in Playa del Carmen: 9 Recipes & Bottomless Drinks suitable for kids and families?

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
