Coco Bongo – Incredible Performers, Disappointing Experience for Guests with Allergies

The performers, acrobats, dancers and overall production value were absolutely incredible. The talent on stage was outstanding, and there were some truly spectacular moments throughout the evening. The energy, costumes and performances were genuinely impressive and are the reason for my rating. Unfortunately, there were a couple of things that took away from the experience for me. As someone with gluten, dairy (lactose) and onion allergies/intolerances, I had checked on several occasions before attending that there would be suitable food options available. I was reassured each time that there would be something I could eat. However, upon arrival, I was told there was nothing suitable available. If you have allergies or dietary requirements, I would strongly recommend eating before you go and not relying on the venue to cater for you. This was particularly disappointing because, having been unable to eat anything, I couldn't comfortably enjoy the drinks package either. As a result, I wasn't able to fully experience what we had paid for, which made the evening feel poor value for money from my perspective. The booking was also part of my 40th birthday celebrations, so I left feeling quite disappointed. What should have been a special occasion was overshadowed by the stress of trying to find something safe to eat and realising there were no suitable options available, despite having checked my dietary requirements in advance several times. I also felt that as the night went on, there was quite a heavy focus on encouraging young women to twerk, flash the cameras and participate in sexually suggestive activities. I'm certainly not a prude and appreciate a fun party atmosphere, but at times it felt a little tacky and detracted from what was otherwise an incredibly talented and entertaining show. Overall, the performers were phenomenal and the show itself was visually impressive. However, I do think there is room for improvement when it comes to catering for guests with dietary requirements and keeping the focus on the exceptional performances that make the show so memorable. ⭐⭐

Note that Coco Bongo is not known for serving food, it does not offer a full food menu, rather small snack options- hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos and fries, these options are outlined on the inclusion list.

Nightmare

Nightmare when buying from this app I bought VIP Gold front row, assuming with my electronic ticket and having the bar code would be easy access/entry. Coco Bongo still had to call the vendor. I had to wait for about 10min (while they took forever to calll/verify) while others we just walking in. If you want easy access buy direct from coco bongo This was NOT VIP treatment

Overpriced, sweaty, cramped s*x show

Booked a GOLD ticket through TUI expecting a fantastic night out but what a disappointment!! First of all we were sat right on the side half way up so we could see behind the main curtain of the stage so we couldn't see anything at the front. We were cramped in like sardines the people next to us ended up moving back a row about an hour in because we just couldn't move. Secondly the food that's included im sorry but i wouldn't feed that to my dog. Next, the "premium" bar was definitely cheap vodka and impossible to get tipsy with how slow the service was, waiter was too busy chatting the girls up a few rows in front of us. The room was boiling so be prepared to be hot. When the show was on the performers were brilliant but it was like 5 minutes of show then 20 minutes of disco, which was basically a camera perving on women not wearing a lot projected on to the main screen. It felt like we were at a se* show for the time between the performances. Sadly i would not recommend and would not return. Save your money folks.

A can’t-miss experience at Coco Bongo - Playa Del Carmen!

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a show, what a club, what an experience! We danced, we sang, we watched, fantastic performers, and enjoyed every minute of it! The service was outstanding, and we can’t say enough about Coco Bongo! For a good time and exciting show that keeps your attention 100% of the time, you can’t go wrong here! I just wish they had one closer to home!

Incredible Show

Coco Bongos was an incredible experience, definitely worth every penny! We had gold member tickets and we were well looked after by Christopher the waiter who kept are drinks topped up.
