    Fantastic experience

We used Absolute adventure tours for Chichen Itza and Akumel, for swimming with turtles. Both were full day tours with multiple sights and stops. Everything was perfect from start to finish. From booking (Claire was super responsive) to the driver (Enrique) and guide (Arturo). The vehicle was clean and new, time-keeping perfect, the drive smooth and safe and the guide knowledgeable and personable. He helped keep the kids engaged throughout also. I’d highly recommend.

    Great Tour!

We had an absolutely brilliant day with Absolute Adventure on our private Chichén Itzá, cenote and Valladolid tour. Everything was organised really well from start to finish, and having a private tour made the whole experience feel relaxed and personal. Eddy and Rod were fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and great company throughout the day. They gave us loads of interesting information about the history and culture of the area without ever making it feel like we were being rushed from one stop to the next. Chichén Itzá was incredible and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Mexico. The cenote was another amazing experience and a perfect way to cool off afterwards, before finishing with a visit to the beautiful town of Valladolid. The whole day was well planned, comfortable and enjoyable, and we felt very well looked after throughout. If you’re staying around Playa del Carmen, Cancún or Tulum and want to experience these places without being part of a large group tour, I would definitely recommend Absolute Adventure. 5 stars. Thanks again Eddy and Rod for a fantastic day!

Great day out with wonderful guide

Luis was our guide and Rodrigo was our driver and they were absolutely fantastic. Our group ranged from 2 to 82 and they made the trip perfect for everyone, accommodating everyone’s needs and making sure the experience was right for them. Luis provided a wealth of knowledge and was such a kind and thoughtful guide the whole day through. Chichen Itzá and the Cenote were everything we hoped.

    Amazing Tour

Luis was an amazing guide for us. We were literally the first people through the gates at Chitzen Itza and all of our pictures are amazing because there are no other people in them. Luis was very knowledgeable on all topics- showing us history, flora, and creatures of the area. The cenote was perfect as well as we were also the only people there for much of our visit. Lunch and a short tour of Valladolid topped off our adventure. I can’t recommend enough to do the VIO tour. It blew our expectations away.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your Chichen Itza, cenote and Valladolid tour experience. We're thrilled the early access, quiet cenote time, lunch and short visit to Valladolid made the day exceed your expectations. We really appreciate your recommendation!

Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.

How much does Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.

Is Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 111 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit?

    +

Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Chichen Itza VIP Private Tour – Sacred Cenote & Valladolid Visit start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?

    +

On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
