Perfect family trip — expert guide, stress-free private tour to Chichén Itzá
We’ve just arrived back at the hotel after the most amazing trip to Chichén Itzá and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we were picked up, Josh and our driver Rod took such good care of us. It’s a fairly long drive, and with two children it can feel even longer, but Josh made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He regularly checked whether we needed to stop for comfort breaks, which was really appreciated. When we arrived, Josh sorted everything with the tickets and made the whole experience completely stress-free. His knowledge of the Mayan civilisation is incredible and he happily answered all of our questions — and there were plenty, especially from the children! He showed us so much interesting information, pointed things out that we would definitely have missed on our own and made sure we got to all the best spots for photos. It really was such an incredible experience, and Josh genuinely made the day extra special for us. I also can’t speak highly enough of the Express Private Tour. In my opinion, it is absolutely worth paying the extra money. We got there before the huge crowds and were able to explore before all the coaches started arriving. We also avoided the hottest part of the day, which was a massive bonus, especially with children, as there is very little shade. We’ve already booked another snorkelling excursion through the same company, and we were so pleased to find out that Josh will be looking after us again! Honestly, what an incredible day. We made some amazing memories as a family and we’re so grateful to Josh and Rod for making the whole experience so enjoyable and special. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Highly Personalized Private Tour
Juan was a thoughtful, easy to connect to and understand, tour guide who spoke in a highly informed and highly engaging manner to my daughter’s and my interests. He gave lots of good stories and history about the site, sharing things to notice and look at on the structures. He even gave noticings to the nature - plants and animals - along the walk. The timing of this visit was impeccable as we arrived at a special entrance to enter the site and get essentially private views/photos of the main temple before the rest of the tourist groups arrived. It felt like a private tour on the site as we walked to places before others were there, and at the end we had finished when it was suddenly much more crowded, but we were done! Great planning ahead and it was an informational, personal, and good time had by all. Well worth the price! Would definitely use him and his company again for future tours.
