    Poor bike quality, poor service

We rented two bikes at Mobike in CALLE MÚSICO PEYDRÓ, 7 46001 VALENCIA Many months in advance, we corresponded via mail with mentioned Mobike location, about us going up into the mountains to Teruel by bus and cycling back to Valencia, approx 160 km. The bike shop recommended bikes appropriate for the trip and had plenty of time to prepare the bikes for this long journey. After using one of the bikes for approx 20-30 minutes, all gears on third main gear started tripping and were unusable. We lived outside the city and had neither time nor opportunity to go back to the city with the bike. By chance, one of us could not go on the trip due to a knee injury (third one had his own bike), so the two remaining travelled by bus into the mountains. The second rental bike worked on most gears until 50 out of 160 km were done, all gears on first and second main gear started tripping out, but luckily third main gear worked more or less until the end. When delivering the bikes at Mobike again, we explained calmly what we had experienced and requested a partial refund (30€ out of approx 86€ paid in total) for the first mentioned bike. The woman at the desk became angry and denied any responsibility or refund, although we explained we were outside of the city with the bikes and soon a 160 km away into the mountains. If Mobike would have travelled out of the city to our temporary living location before the mountain trip to service the bike(s), they should have notified us about this option in advance. Instead, they refused any responsibility and blamed the customer. This is poor customer service, poor bicycle preparation and poor overall performance of MoBike. We do not recommend MoBike, stay well clear and away.

Response from the operator: Dear Customer, We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, this review leaves out several important facts. Before every rental, our bicycles are checked and prepared by our mechanics. As with any mechanical equipment, unexpected issues can occasionally occur. If that happens, we encourage customers to contact us immediately so we can provide assistance or find an appropriate solution. What this review does not mention is what happened when you returned to our shop. Our employee remained calm and politely tried to discuss the situation and offer possible solutions. Instead, she was met with shouting, aggressive behaviour and repeated demands for a refund. The situation became so intimidating that she felt genuinely frightened and was forced to call the police because she no longer felt safe. No employee should ever have to experience this simply for doing their job. We always take responsibility when a genuine mistake is ours, and we are happy to resolve problems fairly. However, we cannot accept verbal abuse, intimidation or aggressive behaviour towards our staff under any circumstances. Respect must go both ways. We are committed to providing excellent service to every customer, but we also expect our employees to be treated with the same courtesy and respect they show to everyone who walks through our door. We wish all visitors to Valencia a wonderful stay and encourage anyone with questions or concerns during their rental to contact us immediately. Almost every issue can be resolved quickly through calm communication and mutual respect.

    Renting a bike at MO’bike

I had a great experience renting a bike from MO’bike! The process was quick and easy, with helpful staff who guided me through everything. The bikes were in excellent condition and comfortable to ride, perfect for exploring the city. I appreciated the variety of bike options available, from standard city bikes to electric ones for a smoother ride. The pricing was reasonable, and I felt it was definitely worth the value. I highly recommend MO’bike for anyone looking to rent a bike – it’s a convenient and enjoyable way to get around!

Bicycle Rental City Center: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Valencia.

How much does Bicycle Rental City Center cost?

    +

Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Valencia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bicycle Rental City Center take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Valencia is not rushed.

Is Bicycle Rental City Center worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Valencia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bicycle Rental City Center?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bicycle Rental City Center suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bicycle Rental City Center?

    +

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Valencia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Valencia and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bicycle Rental City Center start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Valencia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Valencia?

    +

On Outty we rank every Valencia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Valencia Bike Tour from the City to the Beach, plus Bike Guy App!, Paella Cooking Class, Wine Tasting & Central Market in Valencia, Real Paella Cooking Class – Market Visit & Sangría Workshop. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Valencia?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Valencia?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
