They're Scammer, Don't Waste Your Time or Money
I booked a day tour to Tarangire National Park through Viator. The tour was supposed to take place on June 17th 2019. In the description they said that traveler pick up is offered in Moshi. However, after contacting them after booking they insisted that I need to meet them in Arusha (for 5:30am). On June 18th 2019, the tour guide of the tour I was currently on, called to confirm the location and time I would have to meet them (Moonlight Tours Expedition, aka MTE)...and this is where things get interesting. The following things came out of that conversation: 1. MTE did not have enough people to do the tour. Therefore they would cancel the tour unless they got more people to join. 2. MTE said I can cancel the tour online, then meet them in Arusha, and pay for a solo tour (which was more money). 3. They wanted my current tour guide to convey this message to me. How unprofessional can you get? Furthermore, it was already passed 24hours before the tour, so if I canceled I would not be refunded...this means if I did option #1 then I would've paid for a tour that didn't occur, and if I did option #2 then I would've paid TWICE for one tour. Moreover, I only got this information because I CALLED THEM, meaning, they would have let me come all the way to Arusha, and then spring option #2 on me...that's why I call them SCAMMERS, because that's exactly what that was! THAT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Of course I canceled, and wrote a strongly worded email to Viator and was refunded accordingly. My tour guide (the one who spoke to them on the phone) had never heard of the company, so maybe they're new? Don't waste your time with these people. I got a last minute tour (i.e booked on Sunday for Monday) through Nyange Adventures which cost me MUCH less and included pick up and drop off from Moshi!
Response from the operator: Deeply thanks for your review but honest we are not scammer, maybe was misunderstanding in between,Your moshi guide and us we would not be able to cancel your safari on viator out of your agreement since we were told by you moshi guide and you personal is where we moved on and cancel your safari on viator We are very sorry as the guy suggested the pickup should be at Moshi while our trip started and ended in Arusha,he said you have other company that would pick you and drop you in moshi that's why we agree with him since we always aim to provide our customers with the best service that would lead them to unforgettable experience so far we would not be read to disqualify the service Once again we are highly sorry for everything however that was not our fault

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
An Exclusive Tarangire Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does An Exclusive Tarangire Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $250 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does An Exclusive Tarangire Safari take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is An Exclusive Tarangire Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule An Exclusive Tarangire Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is An Exclusive Tarangire Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book An Exclusive Tarangire Safari?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does An Exclusive Tarangire Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
