Family safari

We returned from safari (Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro) as a family with our children aged 8, 10 and 13 and we will keep memories full of memories forever. It was a unique and fascinating experience. Anna and Omari were warm and attentive guides and drivers. A huge thank you to them and to Solaine for organizing this safari.

A Safari to remember!

The best time to go for a safari would be in May-June to experience the migration of thousands of animals. Tanzania offers a vey diverse fauna and flora and Tanzanians are very friendly. But kudos to our guide Inno who planned everything, shared his knowledge and passion for animals and gave us lifetime memories. A

Response from the operator: Thank you for great feedback of our safari, we are flattered! But the most important thing is simply that you enjoyed your adventure here in Tanzania, that is always our objective. Do visit us again! Kindly regards Innocent Frank.

I will cherish the memories of my safari until the day I die.

Had such an amazing time on my safari from start to finish the experience was so amazing! First off we got picked up very early morning by a nice man and then taken for a much needed coffee at a road side café. Then we arrived at the panoramic campsite where we had a lovely cooked breakfast (and more coffee! ) before taking in the breathtaking views of the Crater in Ngora Ngora. Our tour guide was very informative and was able to see things that were beyond my eyesight including a leopard who was languishing in a far off tree. I saw all the big five as well as whole lake full of Hippopotamus wasn't prepared for how smelly they are but I guess they are water horses after all. Our campsite was so much fun with big fires lit and our tour guide kindly took us to the bar in the Serengeti to fetch some cold beers after a long day in the sun. it was so nice especially the food our own personal chef cooked. There was always too much food to eat even though there were seven of us in the jeep. Every night we changed campsites which was pretty seamless given the cook also helped out pitching our tents and packing up too. The tour guide gave me so much knowledge about the Maasai Tribe which I found fascinating! I'm so delighted I chose this tour operator as I will cherish the memories until the day I die.

Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Erick the cook and Ayoubou the guide

My partner and I did this amazing safari tour of 3 days which included 2 days of Serengeti and one day Ngorongoro crater. We slept in both of the national parks which was such a great experience. We heard hyenas and saw zebras and buffalos during the night! But we also want to thank our guide Ayoubou and our excellent cook Erick who made this experience even better. Ayoubou is a smart and hilarious guide who gave a lot of information about the wildlife. Erick is a great cook and provided us of outstanding meals. He calls himself a stomach engineer but he's damn right. He's such a creative and warm hearted guy who gives a magical touch to the African kitchen! If you come and visit Serengeti and Ngorongoro, ask for these two guys because they deserve it!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the great feedback and this means a lot for us, we will keep Ayubu and Erick our cook as a company asset as we believe in good services to grow up

7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari cost?

+

Prices start at $3300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 21 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 7 Days Tanzania Mid-range lodge safari start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
