Amazing Kilimanjaro experience - best conceivable service level
Absolutely great service - from the bottom to the top of the Kilimanjaro - I can only WARMLY RECOMMEND Mountain Warriors for their expertise, professionalism and absolute kindness. We were a group of 3 friends and got the best possible, highly professional support from the entire Mountain Warriors team. Our two guides and every single porter constantly made their very best to offer us an exceptional experience. They brought attention to numerous little details to make us feel comfortable and secure all the way long. Food was absolutely delicious and comfort was at the best conceivable level given the trekking circumstances. I am deeply grateful for the coaching and support that our guides offered us. Deeply remarkable.

Unforgettable!
We (group of 3 friends) completed the 7‑day Machame Route with Mountain Warriors, and it was simply the adventure of a lifetime. Booking via SafariBookings was quick and straightforward, and although we chose Mountain Warriors rather randomly – since most operators seem highly rated – we truly couldn’t have made a better choice. We expected a challenging camping trek where our main goal would simply be “not to get sick.” What we actually got was a flawlessly organized, all‑inclusive experience full of hakuna matata (no worries) and service beyond anything we had ever imagined. Our two guides (Sam and Chuy), combined with over 20 years of Kilimanjaro experience, immediately gave us confidence. Their continuous and professional assessment of our health and morale, combined with deep knowledge of the mountain, ensured we felt safe and motivated throughout. We could openly discuss our worries and thoughts with them, and every debrief left us reassured and ready for the next stage. The food—prepared freshly every day—was a revelation. From soups (never the same twice!) to pasta, pizza, skewers, vegetables, and beautifully presented desserts, we were amazed by the variety and quality, even at altitude. Three courses for both lunch and dinner kept our energy high and spirits even higher. Huge compliments and heartfelt thanks to the chef (Lugulu) and the kitchen team! The porters were the heartbeat of our journey: carrying and setting up tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, and even an extra toilet—always ready by the time we arrived. Beyond their hard work, they lifted our spirits with songs, jokes, and dancing, making us feel like family from day one. If you’re in the process of choosing a Kilimanjaro operator, take it from us: with Mountain Warriors, you are in safe hands. They combine professionalism, experience, and genuine warmth, turning a demanding trek into an unforgettable adventure. We will forever be grateful. Hakuna matata!

Why this scores 78
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.
How much does 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route cost?
+
Prices start at $280 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route take?
+
Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.
Is 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 7 Days Kilimanjaro trek via Machame route start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Arusha?
+
On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Arusha?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
