Sing and dance to celebrate our successful summit at the 4600-meter base camp.

From the moment we started out ascent, Isack demonstrated exceptional professionalism and deep understanding of the mountain. In addition, he introduced the plants, animals and the views in details on the way to peak. When Isack led us singing and dancing to celebrate our successful summit at the 4600-meter base camp, I felt that every single step was worth it.

Great time with the Zanzi family

We had an amazing time with the Zanzi family on the Kilimanjaro. Issack, our main guide, assisted by Jumanne, did such a great job by getting us to the summit! Along the route we talked, laughed, sang and smiled, but most importantly, they made sure we got there safe and happy, especially during the summit day. Twice a day we got checked on heart rate, oxygen level and how we felt. During the checkup, we discussed the upcoming day. Issack and Jumanne encouraged us, were always supportive and positive, hakuna matata! We were planning on doing the Machame route in 7 days, but because everything went well, we decided together to do it in 6 days. That was a really good choice and shows that the team was willing to help and do what was best for us. The rest of the crew was amazing too. We have so much respect for the porters, all so friendly and helpful, we came nothing short. From good food, to a prepared tent, conversations about football and all the Swahili words they taught us. The communication before hand was good and clear, we would definitely recommend Zanzi Trekking. Asante sana!

Response from the operator: Dear Thomas, Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing Zanzi Trekking and Safaris for your Kilimanjaro adventure! Congratulations on reaching the summit! We are delighted to hear that Issack, Jumanne, and the entire mountain crew made your journey both successful and enjoyable. Your kind words about their professionalism, encouragement, daily health checks, and positive spirit truly mean a lot. We will be sure to share your compliments with the whole team—they will be thrilled to know they helped create such a memorable experience. We are also pleased that the flexibility to complete the Machame Route in 6 days worked out so well for you. Providing the safest and best experience for our climbers is always our top priority. Thank you as well for recognizing the hard work of our porters and for your kind comments about our communication before the trip. It was a pleasure to be part of your Kilimanjaro journey, and we truly appreciate your recommendation. Asante sana, Thomas! We hope to welcome you back to Tanzania for another unforgettable adventure. Warm regards, Zanzi Team.

On top of the Africa

It is one of my best experiences. I went for the 5 days one but I recommend the 6 day one to allow for downtime. March is off season, so has the lowest fees.

Response from the operator: Dear Tasara, Thank you for your kind feedback! We are delighted to hear it was one of your best experiences. We truly appreciate your recommendation of the 6-day itinerary for a more relaxed pace, as well as your note about traveling in the off-season. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we hope to welcome you again soon! Best regards Zanzi Trekking and Safaris team.

Banging trip

The trip is amazing. The guides George, Omari and Charles are constantly looking out for us every step of the way, making sure we are healthy, safe and having fun. The cook Basili was amazing, the food we received far exceeded our expectations and was incredibly healthy. The porters work so hard and everyone was willing to improvise when our group had to split up due to illness. There is a high tip expectation but boy they earn it.

Response from the operator: Dear Noah, Thank you for the great feedback! We are glad you had an amazing trip and felt well cared for by George, Omari, Charles, and Basili. We truly appreciate your recognition of the team's hard work and flexibility. They definitely earn those tips We hope to welcome you back again soon! Best regards Zanzi Trekking & Safari team.

6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe cost?

+

Prices start at $1474 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe take?

+

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 41 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 6-Day Kilimanjaro Trek Lemosho, Machame, Marangu, Rongai & Umbwe start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 4 Days Group Camping Safari, 3 Days Serengeti & Ngorongoro Group Camping Safari. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
