Nihapa is the BEST!
We LOVED our experience on safari and especially the wonderful service we received from Nihapa Tours. Kelvin was super helpful, answered all our questions, and made incredible arrangements. Our tour guide, George, was amazing!! So knowledgeable, kept us very safe, an excellent driver, and always had a fun attitude. Kelvin and George provided an absolute dream experience - a 40th birthday trip!

The perfect tailor-made tour in Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Zanzibar
We had the most unforgettable safari exploring Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. Each park offered something breathtaking of its own, and being so close to wildlife in its natural home was deeply humbling. We were lucky enough to see just about everything — the Big Five, tens of lions, cheetahs, and so much more. We ended the journey with a few perfect days in Zanzibar at a beautiful lodge that felt like the ideal finish. What truly set this trip apart was the personal touch. Kelvin from Nihapa made sure we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease from the very first moment. During this trip was a major birthday celebration as well as our wedding anniversary. Kelvin added a special touch to the safari byincluding presents, stickers in the vehicle and a special dinner to make the memories last a lifetime. He met us personally on day one, walked us through every detail, and crafted an itinerary that fit us perfectly — including incredible lodges we absolutely loved. He even came to meet us again in Arusha before our flight to Zanzibar, which meant a lot. Our guide — also Kelvin — spent five days with us and made every moment fun, safe, and insightful. His knowledge, patience, and skill behind the wheel added so much richness to the experience. There are many safari companies out there, but Nihapa stands out for its warmth, authenticity, and genuine care. If you’re looking for a personalized, heartfelt, and truly memorable safari, you can trust them to create something special.

Trip of a Lifetime....thank you Nihapa Tour, Kelvin ang George (best guide ever)!!!
We were blown away by our experience with Nihapa Tours. From our first meeting with owner Kelvin to our last minute with our guide, George, who came to feel like family, everything was Exceptional!!! We had no idea we were coming in the off- season for Serengeti National Park, but that worked out in our favor in so many ways. Our guide George was born in a village in an area between Ngorangora and the Serengeti Savannah so the area and animals are in his blood :). He taught us some Swahili and some Masai words, explained customs and traditions, and knew what animals would be where based on season, migration , time of day, temperature, etc. Because we came in mid April the herds were migrating so we saw soooooo much and so many. 100ssybe 1000s of wildebeest and zebra (and learned their unique symbiosis), every animal we could imagine including a white AND a black rhino, 20 lions (yes 20), baby elephants, lion cub, we even watched a lionness hunt and take down a zebra. Ill stop there bc there is too much to share. Lahia Lodge was exceptional in their hospitality, the stunning canvas suites overlooking the savannah, infinity pool after a long day, great family+style meals etc etc. they were wonderful. Kelvin even helped us add on a meaningful trip to a local orphanage where we were taught and participated in the steps of coffee making from bean to the most delicious cup of Kilimanjaro kahawa (coffee). The children there were precious as were the staff and we were allowed to leave some supplies for them. All so so so amazing. Thank you Kelvin, George and Nihap a for the trip of a lifetime we will never forget. ♥️♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏🙏Asante Sana 🙏🙏🙏Lisa, Alex and family
Response from the operator: Dear Lisa, Alex and family, Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful and detailed review. We are truly honored to hear that your journey with Nihapa Tours became a trip of a lifetime. It’s wonderful to know that your safari through Serengeti National Park exceeded expectations, especially during the green season. As you experienced, this period often brings extraordinary wildlife encounters, and we’re glad it worked in your favor with unforgettable sightings—from vast herds of wildebeest and zebra to lions, rhinos, and elephant families in their natural rhythms. We’re especially happy to hear your kind words about George. His deep roots between the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti truly shape the way he guides—blending wildlife knowledge, cultural insight, and storytelling that brings every moment to life. We’re glad he felt like family and enriched your experience with Swahili, Maasai culture, and his expert understanding of animal behavior. It’s also great to know you enjoyed your stay at Lahia Lodge, from the comfort of the canvas suites to the infinity pool and warm hospitality. We’re equally delighted that the visit to the local orphanage and coffee experience added meaningful connection to your journey—these moments reflect the heart of responsible and community-focused travel we deeply believe in. Your appreciation for Kelvin, George, and the entire team means a lot to us. We are grateful for your trust and for allowing us to be part of such a special family memory. Asante sana for choosing Nihapa Tours. We would be truly happy to welcome you back again for another adventure in Tanzania.

good
For this Tanzania safari trip, I chose the local operator recommended by AI (ChatGPT). After comparing several companies, we went with Nihapa Tours. Of course, we were a bit worried about getting scammed, so we only paid a 30% deposit upfront, and the rest was settled in cash upon meeting them in person. I’m more than happy to share about this company — everything they showed us matched exactly what was in their PPT. What you see is what you get, no surprises. We stayed in two different camp tents, both very clean, with fantastic natural surroundings. In the evenings, they arranged candlelit and bonfire dinners — sitting outdoors, sipping red wine while watching the sunset, letting the day wind down beautifully. The four of us had one private vehicle, and our guide/driver was the same person. He had such high emotional intelligence and really knew how to provide great vibes and emotional support. When it was time to say goodbye, we actually felt a little sad to leave. We were incredibly lucky this time — we witnessed a lion pride hunting and a cheetah in action. It truly filled us with awe and respect for nature.”
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review! We’re truly happy to hear that your safari experience with Nihapa Tours met your expectations and gave you complete peace of mind. Trust is very important to us, and we’re glad that everything you experienced matched exactly what was planned and presented to you. It’s wonderful to know you enjoyed the camps, the clean and comfortable tents, and the beautiful natural surroundings. The candlelit and bonfire dinners are designed to create those special safari moments, and we’re glad you were able to relax with a glass of wine while enjoying the African sunset. We’re especially pleased that your guide made such a positive impact on your journey. Beyond wildlife knowledge, we always value guides who can connect with guests on a human level, and it’s heartwarming to hear he made your experience feel comfortable, meaningful, and even emotional at the end. And what an incredible wildlife experience you had—witnessing a lion pride hunt and a cheetah in action is truly rare and unforgettable. Moments like these are exactly why we love what we do in places like the Serengeti National Park. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation. We would be honored to welcome you back for another adventure in Tanzania whenever you’re ready for more unforgettable moments in the wild.

How many days do you need in Arusha?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
