Amazing first time in Tanzania with Kilipath

We have booked a 5 days safari for 3 people, and after it we are going to do another 7 days just for 2 of us, both with Kilipath. They have been amazing so far, we are going to finish our first one and has been a 5* experience. Lydia has been incredibly helpful during the whole time, since the start giving us advices and information, until the end of the first safari. The staff is great as well, our driver Raymond and the chef Pasco (hope I wrote down the names OK) Both are more than great. Many thanks for the whole crew, you are top.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We are delighted that your first 5-day safari has been a 5-star experience. Lydia, Raymond, and Pasco will be very happy to hear your kind words. It has been a pleasure assisting you, and we truly appreciate your trust in choosing Kilipath again for your upcoming 7-day safari. We look forward to creating another unforgettable adventure for you both!

Amazing experience!

We received a very warm welcome from Lydia and Manuel right at the airport, which immediately made us feel at ease. We had booked a 7-day safari, and our jeep was fully occupied with seven people. The first five days were dedicated to safari, followed by two days near Mount Kilimanjaro. The organization we booked with was extremely reliable—whenever we had a question and reached out via WhatsApp, we always received quick and helpful responses. Our safari guide Lukas was very friendly and always took the time to answer our questions, sharing lots of interesting insights about the national parks, the animals, and everyday life in Tanzania. Every lunch we were served was warm and delicious. We had booked a low-budget option and spent two nights in a small tent, which we can only recommend. We also went on a hike to Mandara Hut in Kilimanjaro National Park with our guide Joel, who was very kind and, to our surprise, spoke excellent German. On the second day, our driver and guide was Geoffrey. He was incredibly friendly, provided us with a lot of information, and was an outstanding guide overall. We can highly recommend this experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your lovely review and recommendation! We are delighted that Lydia and Manuel gave you a warm welcome and that you enjoyed your 7-day adventure, from the safari parks to Mount Kilimanjaro. It is wonderful to hear that Lukas, Joel, and Geoffrey made your experience even more special with their knowledge, kindness, and support. We are also very happy that you enjoyed the warm meals, camping experience, and the hike to Mandara Hut. Your kind words mean a lot to our whole team. Thank you for choosing Kilipath African Safaris—we hope to welcome you back to Tanzania again someday!

Great Safari, great experience

Our safari was absolutely fantastic! We booked the 7-day shared safari tour, and everything was perfectly organized from the very beginning. The booking process was smooth, and even shortly before the tour started, we were able to make changes according to our wishes, including adding a hot air balloon ride. The safari itself was amazing. Our guide and driver was always punctual, friendly, and very helpful. Even though it was a shared tour, we saw an incredible number of animals—it was truly unforgettable. The Camping at the national Parks were fine and a great experience. The short but challenging hike to Kilimanjaro was great, and our Guide Joel even spoke German, which was a nice surprise. The waterfall tour with Geoffrey was also a highlight. He is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, and made the experience a lot of fun. Communication with the office, especially with Lydia, was outstanding. She was always available, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Kilipath to any of my friends. Thank you for these unforgettable memories and for such a wonderful experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review and for choosing Kilipath African Safaris for your 7-day shared safari adventure. We are delighted that everything was smoothly organised, including your balloon safari and the itinerary adjustments. It is especially lovely to hear that you enjoyed the wildlife, camping experience, Kilimanjaro hike with Joel, and the waterfall tour with Geoffrey. Your kind words about Lydia, Joel, Geoffrey, and your safari guide will mean so much to the whole team. Thank you for recommending us to your friends. We are truly grateful and hope to welcome you back to Tanzania for another unforgettable adventure!

Never felt so cared for

The safari was really great! We all saw big five and generally it was a great adventure. Due to the rainy season we had to deal with a bit of flooding, you should be aware of that, nevertheless everything worked out in the end and we saw the animals in huge herds just because of that. The organization was more than good, they always replied to us directly on WhatsApp and after I forgot my AirPods in one of the camps they even took me to Zanzibar, so it doesn't get any better. I would recommend anyone to book there! Camping in tents is of course a bit more low budget but also an experience, the lodges on the other hand are top.

Response from the operator: Vielen Dank für Ihr tolles Feedback!

Adventurous safari during the rainy season

It was a very adventurous safari with lots of experiences and great animals. We've seen all the Big Fives and much more. If you travel in the rainy season, however, you should prepare for the fact that some roads may be flooded and you cannot pass them. On the whole it was still a great tour.

Response from the operator: Vielen Dank für das tolle Feedback! 🌍🦓

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Arusha.

How much does 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari cost?

Prices start at $1145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Arusha usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Arusha is not rushed.

Is 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Arusha, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Arusha can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Arusha and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 5 Days Serengeti Camping Safari start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Arusha within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Arusha?

+

On Outty we rank every Arusha experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Arusha Guided City Tour &Hotel Pickup (History, Culture &Market, Materuni Waterfalls, coffee tour & Kikuletwa Hot Springs, 5 Days Camping Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro crater & Visiting Maasai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Arusha?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Arusha?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
